This study aims to determine the determinants incidence of diarrhea in infants 6-59 months in Babakan Madang District in 2019. Study design was cross sectional. Sampling method was purposive sampling, obtained 612 toddlers. Data collection in May August 2019, by measuring the weight and length of infants, structured interviews with toddler mothers using questionnaire. The results of the study found that 22,5% of children under five had diarrhea at 1 week, 2 weeks, 1 month and the last 3 months before the interview. Dominant factor in the occurrence of diarrhea in infants 6-59 months in Babakan Madang Sub-district in 2019 was the source of clean water for drinking after being controlled by the mother's age variable, storing leftover complementary feeding, cutting toddler's nails, clean water for cooking and washing toddler's tableware. Infrastructure needs to be sought to meet drinking water needs for low-income people, environmental health through counseling about the dangers of diarrhea and how to prevent it.
This thesis discusses the environmental determinants that occur in stunting toddlers aged 6-59 months in Babakan Madang District in 2019. The purpose of this study is to look at the phenomenon of health problems in this case the incidence of stunting with the environmental determinants that influence it. This research is an wise team study with funds from the research directorate and community service at Universitas Indonesia. Using cross-sectional design to take primary data with multi stages sampling method and the way of taking respondents in Posyandu using purposive cluster sampling The distance of the poultry cages with a stunting children's house, and its relationship to the ARI symptoms for 3 months and their interactions with the influence of climate (temperature, wind speed and direction) to stunting are representative through mapping. Some variables can be explained better through spatial descriptive, namely the distance of the cage with a toddler's house. The influence of the distance of the poultry cage with the children's house and there is an interrelated relationship with the temperature, wind direction and wind speed on the incidence of recurrent infectious
Diarrhea in children is still a health problem that occurs in the Sumbawa Regency,
especially in North Moyo district, West Nusa Tenggara. The magnitude of the problem
can be seen from the high morbidity and mortality due to diarrhea. Diarrhea in children
can contribute to the acute burden of disease (UNICEF, 2019). Based on the Regional
Health Profile of West Nusa Tenggara Province in 2018, the prevalence of diarrhea in
children aged 6-59 months in North Moyo District was 28.7% higher than the national,
provincial, and district levels. The purpose of this study was to find out the corelation of
determinants of diarrhea in children aged 6-59 months in North Moyo District,
Sumbawa Regency, West Nusa Tenggara in 2019. Cross sectional design was used in
this study with 406 sample of children aged 6-59. Data collection was carried out by
measuring weight, interview and observation. The Chi-Square test and regresi logistic
were used to analysis the study. The results showed that the prevalence of diarrhea in
children aged 6-59 months in North Moyo District was 18.7%. Statistical analysis
showed that the significant corelation was the number of family members, posyandu
visits, exclusive breastfeeding, how to help children diarrhea, and washing hands with
soap (pvalue <0.05). The number of family members is the dominant factor associated
with diarrhea in children aged 6-59 months in North Moyo District (OR: 2.78, 95% CI
1.29-5.97, p value <0.05). Make the prevention and treatment of diarrhea everybody’s
responsible. Implementation of prevention and treatment is approached in an integrated
way to produce a greater impact in efforts to overcome diarrhea in children.
The nutritional status of children under five is an important thing that every parent should know. The need for more attention to the development of children at the age of five is based on the fact that malnutrition during this golden period is irreversible, while malnutrition can affect children's brain development. Wasting is a condition of acute malnutrition in toddlers. Body weight for height (BW / TB) is an anthropometric index that indicates the occurrence of wasting. Wasting is directly caused by inadequate nutritional intake and infectious diseases in children, while indirectly it can be influenced by socio-economic factors, parenting styles, food availability and cultural factors. This research is a quantitative study using secondary data from the 2019 Gzi Planning Program (PPG). The research design used is cross-sectional. The results of the bivariate analysis using the chi square test showed that the variables of iodized salt status, gender and iron intake were significantly associated with the incidence of wasting in children under five (p = 0.027, 0.039 and 0.013) at α = 0.05. The results of the multivariate test showed that the variables of iodized salt status and the gender of the children under five were the dominant factors in the incidence of wasting in children under five. Therefore, the government, in this case the health department, needs an integrated and multisectoral program renewal to tackle the incidence of wasting in toddlers, especially programs for toddlers
Stunting is a condition of growth failure caused by chronic nutritional deficiencies and repeated infections that have long-term effects. Stunting is still a public health problem in Banten Province because the prevalence is still high. This study aims to determine the determinants of stunting in toddlers aged 6-59 months in Banten Province. The research design used was cross sectional with a total sample of 1,643 toddlers obtained from total sampling based on inclusion and exclusion criteria. The data used is the SSGI 2021 data belonging to the Indonesian Ministry of Health's BKPK. The independent variables in this study were child factors (age, sex, birth weight, birth length, dietary diversity), maternal factors (mother's education and mother's occupation); food insecurity factor; environmental health factors (latrine ownership); infection disease factors (ARI, diarrhea, pneumonia, tuberculosis) and health service factors (giving vitamin A and treating sick toddlers in health facilities). Data were analyzed using complex data analysis. Bivariate analysis used the chi-square test and multivariate analysis used multiple logistic regression. The results showed that the proportion of stunting among toddlers aged 6-59 months was 22.7%. Based on multivariate analysis, the determinant of stunting for children aged 6-59 months in Banten Province is gender (p-value 0.021; AOR 1.351; 95% CI 1.047 – 1.744); mother's education (p-value 0.009; AOR 1.484; 95% CI 1.103 – 1.998); birth length (p-value 0.001; AOR 2.094; 95% CI 1.512 – 2.899); food insecurity (p-value 0.009; AOR 1.629; 95% CI 1.131 – 2.347). The dominant factor in the incidence of stunting in toddlers aged 6-59 months in Banten Province is short birth length (AOR 2.09). Short-born babies need to receive health and nutrition communication, information, education interventions for mothers under five and get supplementary food for toddlers from the District/City Health Office and Community Health Centers as well as routine monitoring every month at the Posyandu so they don't grow into stunted toddlers.

ABSTRACT Name : Gladys Apriluana Study Program : Public Health Title : Correlation Between Complementary Feeding with Stunting in Children Aged 24 Months in Pagedangan District, Tangerang Regency in 2019 Counsellor : Dr drg. Sandra Fikawati, MPH Background: Stunting is a chronic malnutrition problem that affects many children in Indonesia. Pagedangan district has a high number of malnourished children. An important factor in children's growth is nutritional intake. Complementary foods that given after a 6-month-old toddler must be diverse and adequate, so that it meets growth needs. Unfortunately, in Indonesia it is difficult to achieve sufficient nutritional intake from complementary foods which is generally traditional and not fortified. The purpose of study was to determine correlation between complementary feeding and the incidence of stunting in children aged 24 months. Methods: The study was conducted with case control design and sample ratio of 1: 1.5. The study was conducted from March to May 2019. The population was children aged 24 months. A total sample of 100 children. Results: The results of bivariate analysis showed that there was a significant correlation between complementary feeding (p=0.033) and maternal occupation (p=0.040) with the incidence of stunting. The results of multivariate analysis showed the most influential variables were maternal occupation (OR = 7.6), family income (OR = 4.8), and complementary feeding (OR = 4.0). Conclusion: The dominant factor associated with the incidence of stunting in children aged 24 months is maternal occupation, after controlled family income, complementary feeding, frequency of drinking milk, milk consumption, and age start drinking milk. Suggestion: Improving the program "Fill my plate" by making nutritious food menus for toddlers adjusted for food availability and socio-economic status of the residents. Keywords: stunting, children, complementary feeding, maternal occupation
