Since the implementation of the National Health Insurance (JKN) system in 2014, JKN participants seeking health services must follow a tiered referral system. To accommodate emergency referrals, the Indonesian Ministry of Health has implemented the Integrated Emergency Response System (SPGDT) and developed the Integrated Referral System (SISRUTE). Law No. 17 of 2023 mandates competency-based referral healthcare services, prompting the Jakarta Provincial Health Office to develop the competency-based referral information system JakConnected. This study aims to assess the acceptance of the JakConnected competency-based referral information system at regional hospitals in the Jakarta Provincial Government. The research design employs a qualitative study with descriptive analysis. Data collection methods included observation, in-depth interviews with twenty-six informants, and document review. The research findings indicate that the acceptance of the JakConnected system is better than SISRUTE, but its usage trend is declining. There are no funding, governance, infrastructure, or management support issues. Perceptions of the system's usefulness and ease of use are positive, but users' behavioural intentions need to be improved. Improvements in human resource management and strengthened regulations are needed to increase usage, thereby enhancing the user experience with the system.
Analysis The Utilization of The Billing Information System for Patient Direct Payment In RSUD Cianjur Period from January to December 2004 Background This study revealed the utilization of Billing Information System was not yet optimum. The authorized person or staffs who operate the billing system has to make double records, both manually and computerized data entry. These two systems show a quite a great deal of differences in each of their results. Objective Base of this finding, the objectives of this study are evaluating the utilization of Billing Information System, identifying some problem that might come up and also finding the right solution of the problem, in hope to be able to recommend the right suggestion for optimally of the utilization. Methods This is a cases study research with qualitative approach. The research material originates from primary and secondary data by profound observing the process, FGD (Focus Group Discussion) and in-depth interview with several staff and other authorized personnel’s whom involve in the implementation of the system. Results The results show that the utilization of the Billing Information System (BIS) was not yet optimum because manpower, hardware, software, funds, procedure and structure of organization which in this case stand not enough. Conclusions Therefore, for optimum the utilization of the Billing Information System regarding inpatient, emergency and outpatient, some adjustment have to be made concerning the number of staff and their workload, some fixing and add of the hardware and software, also making a standard operating procedure of BIS and modifying the organization of MIS. Transformasi digital dalam sektor kesehatan semakin mengubah cara rumah sakit untuk memberikan dan mengelola pelayanan kesehatan. Penelitian ini menganalisis dampak transformasi sistem informasi digital yang diterapkan di RS Premier, dengan berfokuskan pada efektivitas inovasi yang dikembangkan dalam meningkatkan efisiensi operasional dan kualitas pelayanan. Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh pentingnya kebutuhan transformasi digital di rumah sakit dalam mencapai keunggulan kompetitif dan memenuhi ekspektasi pasien di era digital. Tujuan utama penelitian ini adalah mengevaluasi dampak inovasi terhadap alur kerja operasional, kepuasan pasien, dan kinerja keseluruhan rumah sakit. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan studi kasus kualitatif, dengan metode wawancara terhadap informan kunci, telaah dokumen, dan analisis komparatif data sebelum dan sesudah implementasi untuk inovasi seperti Sistem Patient Journey, Discharge Management Process dan Manajemen Insiden Real-Time (RootBin).
Hasil utama menunjukkan bahwa inovasi seperti Sistem Patient Journey secara signifikan mengurangi waktu tunggu dan memperbaiki alur layanan pada instalasi rawat jalan. Integrasi sistem manajemen discharge menghasilkan pengurangan waktu pemulangan pasien rawat inap, sementara inovasi digital rekam medis mempermudah dan mempercepat akses data untuk pasien dan juga menjaga kepatuhan terhadap regulasi kesehatan. Sistem RootBin bertujuan untuk mempercepat pelaporan dan pelacakan insiden secara real-time, mendorong budaya keselamatan dan perbaikan kualitas berkelanjutan. Meskipun telah menunjukkan keberhasilan, beberapa tantangan masih terus dihadapi, termasuk resistensi terhadap perubahan di kalangan staf, kesenjangan literasi teknologi, dan kebutuhan untuk optimalisasi sistem secara berkelanjutan. Pengembangan di masa depan perlu difokuskan pada peningkatan pelatihan pengguna, memperluas interoperabilitas sistem, dan mengeksplorasi analitik prediktif untuk secara proaktif menangani potensi ketidakefisienan. Hasil dari penelitian ini menyajikan wawasan tentang implikasi praktis dari transformasi digital di sektor kesehatan. Penelitian ini juga menyoroti pentingnya investasi berkelanjutan dalam teknologi kesehatan digital untuk mencapai manfaat jangka Panjang bagi rumah sakit dan juga pasiennya.
Digital transformation in the healthcare sector is revolutionizing how hospitals deliver and manage services. This study analyzes the impact of digital information system innovations implemented at RS Premier, focusing on the effectiveness of innovation developed in enhancing operational efficiency and service quality. The study is motivated by the critical role of hospital digital transformation in achieving competitive advantages and meeting patient expectations in the digital era. The primary objective of this research is to evaluate the impact of these innovations on operational workflows, patient satisfaction, and overall hospital performance. A qualitative case study approach was employed, incorporating interviews with key informants, document reviews, and comparative data analysis before and after the implementation of innovations such as the Patient Journey System, Discharge Management System and Real-Time Incident Management (RootBin). Key findings indicate that innovations like the Patient Journey System significantly reduced waiting times and improved service flow in outpatient settings. The integration of discharge management systems led to shorter inpatient discharge times, while the digital innovstion developed for medical records facilitated patient data accessibility and maintained compliance with healthcare regulations. The RootBin system expedited real-time reporting and incidents tracking, fostering a culture of safety and continuous quality improvement. Despite these successes, challenges remain, including challenges and resistance to change among staff, gaps in technological literacy, and the need for ongoing system optimization. Future developments should focus on enhancing user training, expanding system interoperability, and exploring predictive analytics to proactively address potential inefficiencies. The results of this study provide valuable insights into the practical implications of digital transformation in the healthcare sector. It also underscores the importance of sustained investment in digital health technologies to achieve long-term benefits for hospitals and their patients.
