Fruit and vegetables consumption among adolescent was still less than WHO recommendation of 400 gram per day. Low fruit and vegetable consumption in adolescents can lead to various degenerative diseases in adulthood and elder. The purpose of this study was to identify factors which asosiated with fruits and vegetables consumption. The method used in this study is cross sectional design which was conducted by 160 student respondents at 8 Junior High School Depok in February until June 2012. This study use systematic random sampling technique for taking the samples. Data were collected through the questionnaire and semi quantitative Food Frequency Questionnaire. The result of this study showed that 57,5% respondent who consumed fruit and vegetables which meet 400 gram per day. From analyses data by chi square test, there were significant association between attitude (OR=4,5; CI=1,2-17,4), knowledge OR=2,6; CI=1,3- 4,9, availability in home (OR=4,5; CI=1,2-17,4), and mass media (OR=4,5; CI=1,2-17,4) with fruit and vegetable consumption.

Dyslipidemia or abnormality of lipid levels in the blood, which is the major cause of cardiovascular disease, can be predicted by the ratio of total cholesterol/HDL-C. This study is a cross-sectional quantitative approach and aims to explore the risk factors associated with the ratio of total cholesterol/HDL-C among primary school teachers in Cilandak District, South Jakarta in 2013. The results show 21.7% of respondents were high risk ratio (≥ 5). Bivariate analysis shows that sex, waist circumference, frequency of vegetable consumption, and smoking habits are significantly associated with the ratio. Multivariate analysis shows that sex, waist circumference, and frequency of vegetable consumption explain 17.7% of variation in the ratio. Sex and frequency of vegetable consumption are relatively more predominant factors to the ratio. Researcher suggests Communication Information and Education (CIE) program to be held as an insight to achieve an optimal total cholesterol/HDL-C ratio.

This research is a quantitative research with crosssectional design study and a total sample of 235 children. Data were collectedthrough questionnaires by respondents themselves (self-registered questionnaire).Data were analyzed using chi-square test (bivariate) and multiple logisticregression (multivariate). The results showed that there are only 28.1% ofrespondents who eat vegetables and 32.8% of respondents who eat fruit each of atleast one serving a day. Statistical analysis showed a significant relationshipbetween liking, self-confidence, intentions, peer modelling, parent support, peersupport, the habit of eating with the family, home availability and the availabilityin schools and leisure time with vegetables consumption, as well as gender, liking, intentions, parent support, the habit of eating with family and home availabilitywith fruit consumption.
