Studi terkait mortalitas akibat kanker, khususnya di tingkat lokal, seperti provinsi, masih terbatas dan sebagian besar berfokus pada morbiditas atau prevalensi. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis tren mortalitas akibat kanker di Jakarta pada tahun 2017, 2019, 2021, dan 2023 menggunakan desain potong lintang dengan data dari Dinas Kesehatan Provinsi Jakarta. Analisis univariat dilakukan untuk mengevaluasi tren mortalitas berdasarkan tahun, kelompok usia, jenis kelamin, wilayah, dan sumber pelaporan fasilitas kesehatan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan perubahan peringkat kanker utama, di mana kanker trakea, bronkus, dan paru-paru, yang menjadi penyebab kematian tertinggi pada 2017, digantikan oleh kanker payudara mulai 2019. CSDR (Cause Specific Death Rate) kanker utama meningkat sejak 2017, menurun pada 2021, lalu mencapai puncaknya pada 2023. Mortalitas tertinggi terjadi pada kelompok lansia (43,9% – 44,6%) dan dewasa paruh baya (42,8% – 44,7%), dengan perempuan (52,0% – 57,7%) lebih banyak terdampak dibandingkan laki-laki (42,3% – 48%). Jakarta Timur melaporkan mortalitas tertinggi (27,9% – 30,8%), diikuti Jakarta Barat (20,9% – 26,7%), dengan rumah sakit sebagai sumber pelaporan utama (66,2% – 83,7%). Kasus-kasus tereksklusi dalam penelitian ini mencerminkan tantangan dalam pengumpulan dan pencatatan data yang akurat. Penelitian ini menekankan pentingnya peningkatan kualitas data untuk mendukung kebijakan dan intervensi yang lebih efektif dalam mengurangi beban mortalitas akibat kanker.
Studies related to cancer mortality, especially at the local level, such as provinces, are still limited and mostly focus on morbidity or prevalence. This study aims to analyze cancer mortality trends in Jakarta in 2017, 2019, 2021, and 2023 using a cross-sectional design with data from the Jakarta Provincial Health Office. Univariate analysis was conducted to evaluate mortality trends based on year, age group, gender, region, and the reporting source from healthcare facilities. The results show a change in the ranking of major cancers, where tracheal, bronchial, and lung cancer, which was the leading cause of death in 2017, was replaced by breast cancer starting in 2019. The Cause-Specific Death Rate (CSDR) for major cancers increased since 2017, decreased in 2021, and then peaked in 2023. The highest mortality occurred in the elderly group (43.9% – 44.6%) and middle-aged adults (42.8% – 44.7%), with women (52.0% – 57.7%) being more affected than men (42.3% – 48%). East Jakarta reported the highest mortality (27.9% – 30.8%), followed by West Jakarta (20.9% – 26.7%), with hospitals as the primary reporting source (66.2% – 83.7%). Cases excluded from this study reflect challenges in the collection and recording of accurate data. This study emphasizes the importance of improving data quality to support policies and interventions that are more effective in reducing the cancer mortality burden.

Infeksi Hantavirus di Indonesia umumnya bermanifestasi sebagai Hemorrhagic Fever with Renal Syndrome (HFRS). Meskipun bukti reservoir pada rodensia cukup kuat, data epidemiologis pada manusia masih terbatas. Mendeskripsikan karakteristik epidemiologi kasus konfirmasi Hantavirus di Indonesia tahun 2025 berdasarkan aspek orang, tempat, dan waktu. Studi kuantitatif dengan desain case series menggunakan data sekunder hasil penyelidikan epidemiologi Kementerian Kesehatan RI terhadap 14 kasus konfirmasi. Mayoritas kasus ditemukan pada laki-laki (71,43%) dan kelompok usia 19-59 tahun (50%). Jenis pekerjaan terbanyak adalah buruh/sopir/ART (35,71%). Gejala klinis dominan meliputi demam (85,71%) dan ikterik (64,28%), dengan 50% kasus mengalami komplikasi gagal ginjal. Sebagian besar kasus (92,86%) melaporkan keberadaan tikus di lingkungan tempat tinggal. Secara geografis, frekuensi tertinggi ditemukan di Provinsi DIY (42,85%). Berdasarkan waktu, puncak temuan kasus terjadi pada bulan Mei dan Juni. Kasus Hantavirus di Indonesia tahun 2025 ditemukan pada kelompok usia produktif dengan riwayat keberadaan reservoir di lingkungannya serta manifestasi klinis yang mengarah pada gangguan fungsi ginjal.
Hantavirus infection in Indonesia generally manifests as Hemorrhagic Fever with Renal Syndrome (HFRS). While evidence in rodent reservoirs is substantial, human epidemiological data remains limited. To describe the epidemiological characteristics of confirmed Hantavirus cases in Indonesia in 2025 based on person, place, and time. A quantitative study with a case series design using secondary data from the Indonesian Ministry of Health's epidemiological investigations of 14 confirmed cases. The majority of cases were found in males (71.43%) and the 19-59 age group (50%). The most frequent occupations were laborers/drivers/domestic workers (35.71%). Dominant clinical symptoms included fever (85.71%) and jaundice (64.28%), with 50% of cases experiencing renal failure complications. Most cases (92.86%) reported the presence of rats in their residential environment. Geographically, the highest frequency was in the Special Region of Yogyakarta (42.85%). Temporally, the peak of case findings occurred in May and June. Hantavirus cases in Indonesia in 2025 were identified in the productive age group with a history of reservoir presence in their environment and clinical manifestations leading to renal dysfunction.

Penyakit ginjal kronis meningkat secara global maupun nasional, namun studi terkait mortalitas akibat penyakit ginjal kronis terbatas. Penelitian bertujuan menganalisis tren dan distribusi kematian akibat penyakit ginjal kronis di DKI Jakarta berdasarkan umur, jenis kelamin, wilayah, dan sumber pelaporan selama 2020-2025 dengan desain potong lintang menggunakan data Dinas Kesehatan Provinsi DKI Jakarta. Penelitian menggunakan total sample berjumlah 11.495, dengan minimal 384 sampel per tahun, berupa kematian dengan penyebab dasar penyakit ginjal kronis sesuai kriteria inklusi dan eksklusi. Hasil penelitian berdasarkan perhitungan Crude-Specific Death Rate dengan Confidence Interval 95% menunjukkan angka kematian populasi cenderung meningkat selama periode penelitian, puncak tren terjadi tahun 2024 CSDR 215,8 (CI 95%:207,8-224,8) dengan rumah sakit sebagai sumber pelaporan utama. Kelompok usia ≥60 tahun mendominasi dengan puncak di tahun 2025 CSDR 1014,4 (CI 95%:959,9-1071,2). Angka kematian laki-laki lebih tinggi dibandingkan perempuan dengan puncak tren di 2025 CSDR 233,7 (CI 95%:221,0-247,0). Wilayah Jakarta Timur menyumbang jumlah kematian absolut tertinggi, dengan puncak di tahun 2024 CSDR 251,5 (CI 95%:234,1-269,8). Ditemukan 317 data anomali kode menunjukkan inkonsistensi pengkodean diagnosis, dengan puskesmas menyumbang laporan anomali terbanyak. Tren mortalitas penyakit ginjal kronis di DKI Jakarta yang meningkat, terutama pasca-pandemi, serta laporan kasus tidak valid menunjukkan perlunya upaya pencegahan dan perbaikan kualitas data untuk mendukung efektivitas pengendalian penyakit.
Chronic kidney disease is rising both globally and nationally, yet studies on mortality due to chronic kidney disease remain limited. This study aims to analyse trends and the distribution of mortality rates due to chronic kidney disease in Jakarta, based on age, sex, region, and source of reporting, for the period 2020-2025, using a cross-sectional design and data from the Jakarta Provincial Health Office. The study used a total sample of 11.495, with a minimum 384 cases per year, comprising deaths with chronic kidney disease as the underlying cause, in accordance with the inclusion and exclusion criteria. The results showed that the mortality rate for the entire population tended to increase during the study period, peaking in 2024 at a CSDR of 215.8 (95% CI: 207.8–224.8), with hospitals as the primary source of reporting. The age group ≥60 years dominated, with a peak in 2025 at a CSDR of 1014.4 (95% CI: 959.9–1071.2). Men had a higher mortality rate than women, with the trend peaking in 2025 at a CSDR of 233.7 (95% CI: 221.0–247.0). The East Jakarta region contributed the highest absolute number of deaths, with a peak in 2024 at 251.5 CSDR (95% CI: 234.1–269.8). A total of 317 cases of coding anomalies were identified, indicating inconsistencies in diagnosis coding, with the community health centre accounting for the highest number of anomalous reports. The rising trend in chronic kidney disease mortality in Jakarta, particularly post-pandemic, along with reports of invalid cases, highlights the need for preventive measures and improvements in data quality to support the effectiveness of disease control.

Penelitian terkait premature mortality yaitu kematian usia 30-70 tahun akibat PTM di Indonesia masih terbatas. Penelitian bertujuan menganalisis tren premature mortality akibat 4NCD, meliputi kardiovaskular (CVD), kanker, diabetes, dan respirasi kronis (CRD) di DKI Jakarta tahun 2020-2024 menggunakan desain potong lintang berdasarkan data sekunder Dinas Kesehatan DKI Jakarta. Analisis univariat mengkaji tren premature mortality 4NCD berdasarkan distribusi umur, jenis kelamin, wilayah domisili, dan laporan fasilitas kesehatan. Hasil penelitian menyatakan premature mortality 4NCD diakibatkan CVD (78%), diabetes (17%), kanker (14%), dan CRD (9%). Kematian CVD disebabkan blok penyakit jantung lain (47,4%) dan serebrovaskular (19,4%). Kanker ganas primer di lokasi spesifik (88,7%), DM tipe 2 (77%). Kematian CRD didominasi blok penyakit lain pada sistem pernapasan (34%) dan penyakit pernapasan bawah kronis (27,8%). Premature mortality tertinggi terjadi di usia dewasa paruh baya (49%), lansia muda (46%), dan dewasa muda (5%). Kematian laki-laki (58%) lebih tinggi daripada perempuan (42%). Domisili angka kematian tertinggi terjadi di Jakarta Timur (30%), Jakarta Selatan (19%), Jakarta Utara (17%), dengan sumber laporan tertinggi puskesmas (56%). Kasus kematian tidak spesifik menggambarkan tantangan proses surveilans yang akurat. Penelitian ini menitikberatkan vitalitas kualitas data sebagai penunjang intervensi dan kebijakan yang efektif dan tepat sasaran dalam mengurangi morbiditas dan mortalitas PTM.

Penyakit tidak menular (PTM) merupakan masalah kesehatan utama sehingga deteksi dini melalui program skrining menjadi strategi penting. Namun, pemetaan capaian dan pola faktor risiko hasil skrining PTM di Provinsi Jakarta masih terbatas. Penelitian ini bertujuan mendeskripsikan program skrining PTM di Provinsi Jakarta tahun 2020-2024 menurut tahun, jenis kelamin, dan wilayah kota di Provinsi Jakarta tahun 2020–2024. Studi menggunakan desain epidemiologi deskriptif dengan rancangan ekologi berbasis data agregat Dinas Kesehatan Provinsi Jakarta menurut tahun, jenis kelamin, dan lima wilayah kota. Hasil menunjukkan capaian skrining meningkat tajam dari 38,8% (2020) menjadi 99,1% (2021), mencapai 100% (2022), dan melampaui 100% pada 2023–2024 (100,4% dan 101,4%). Jumlah peserta skrining juga naik dari 2.746.144 (2020) menjadi 7.865.422 (2024), dengan mayoritas peserta perempuan (53,5%–56,1%). Tiga faktor risiko terbanyak secara konsisten adalah obesitas sentral, obesitas, dan tekanan darah tinggi. Pada 2024, proporsi obesitas sentral mencapai 45,5%, diikuti obesitas 32,0% dan tekanan darah tinggi 25,2%, dengan pola tiga faktor risiko teratas yang relatif serupa di seluruh wilayah kota. Penelitian ini menyimpulkan bahwa obesitas sentral dan obesitas masih tinggi di Provinsi Jakarta sehingga diperlukan penguatan intervensi promotif–preventif yang lebih terarah menurut kelompok sasaran dan wilayah.
Non-communicable diseases (NCDs) represent a major public health concern; therefore, early detection through screening programmes is a critical strategy. However, evidence mapping screening coverage and the patterns of NCD risk factors identified through screening in Jakarta Province remains limited. This study aimed to describe the NCD screening programme in Jakarta Province from 2020 to 2024 by year, sex, and municipal area. A descriptive epidemiological study with an ecological design was conducted using aggregated data from the Jakarta Provincial Health Office by year, sex, and five municipal areas. The results showed that screening coverage increased sharply from 38.8% (2020) to 99.1% (2021), reached 100% (2022), and exceeded 100% in 2023–2024 (100.4% and 101.4%). The number of individuals screened also increased from 2,746,144 (2020) to 7,865,422 (2024), with females comprising the majority of participants (53.5%–56.1%). The three most frequently identified risk factors were consistently central obesity, obesity, and hypertension. In 2024, the proportion of central obesity reached 45.5%, followed by obesity at 32.0% and hypertension at 25.2%, with a broadly similar pattern of the top three risk factors across all municipal areas. The study concludes that central obesity and obesity remain high in Jakarta Province, underscoring the need to strengthen more targeted health promotion and preventive interventions by population group and area.

Diabetes melitus merupakan salah satu penyakit tidak menular yang berkontribusi terhadap tingginya angka kematian, terutama di wilayah perkotaan seperti DKI Jakarta. Namun, kajian mortalitas akibat diabetes melitus berbasis data kematian rutin di tingkat provinsi masih terbatas. Penelitian ini bertujuan menggambarkan tren mortalitas akibat diabetes melitus di Provinsi DKI Jakarta tahun 2020–2025 berdasarkan usia, jenis kelamin, dan wilayah administrasi. Penelitian ini menggunakan desain studi potong lintang (cross-sectional) dengan pendekatan kuantitatif menggunakan data surveilans kematian Dinas Kesehatan Provinsi DKI Jakarta tahun 2020–2025. Sampel penelitian mencakup 17.582 kasus kematian akibat diabetes melitus tipe 1 dan tipe 2 yang memenuhi kriteria inklusi dan eksklusi. Analisis dilakukan secara univariat menggunakan indikator Cause-Specific Death Rate (CSDR) dan 95% confidence interval (CI). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa nilai CSDR tertinggi terjadi pada tahun 2021 sebesar 34,90 per 100.000 penduduk (95% CI: 33,78–36,04), kemudian menurun pada tahun 2022 menjadi 23,81 (95% CI: 22,89–24,75) dan relatif stabil hingga tahun 2025. Kelompok usia ≥70 tahun memiliki angka kematian tertinggi, perempuan cenderung memiliki nilai CSDR sedikit lebih tinggi dibandingkan laki-laki meskipun CI beririsan, serta Jakarta Timur, Jakarta Pusat, dan Jakarta Utara menunjukkan nilai CSDR relatif tinggi. Mortalitas akibat diabetes melitus di DKI Jakarta masih menunjukkan beban kematian yang tinggi, terutama pada kelompok usia lanjut dan wilayah tertentu.
Diabetes mellitus is one of the non-communicable diseases contributing to high mortality rates, particularly in urban areas such as Jakarta. However, studies on diabetes mellitus mortality using routine mortality data at the provincial level remain limited. This study aimed to describe mortality trends due to diabetes mellitus in Jakarta Province from 2020 to 2025 based on age, sex, and administrative region. This study used a cross-sectional design with a quantitative approach utilizing mortality surveillance data from the Jakarta Provincial Health Office from 2020 to 2025. The study sample consisted of 17,582 deaths due to type 1 and type 2 diabetes mellitus that met the inclusion and exclusion criteria. Data were analyzed using univariate analysis with the Cause-Specific Death Rate (CSDR) indicator and 95% confidence interval (CI). The results showed that the highest CSDR occurred in 2021 at 34.90 per 100,000 population (95% CI: 33.78–36.04), followed by a decline in 2022 to 23.81 (95% CI: 22.89–24.75), and remained relatively stable until 2025. The ≥70 years age group had the highest mortality rate, females tended to have slightly higher CSDR values than males although the CIs overlapped, and East Jakarta, Central Jakarta, and North Jakarta showed relatively high CSDR values compared with other regions. Mortality due to diabetes mellitus in Jakarta remains a substantial public health burden, particularly among older adults and certain regions.

Analisis univariat dilakukan menggunakan indikator Cause-Specific Death Rate (CSDR), Age-Specific Death Rate (ASDR), dan Sex-Specific Death Rate (SSDR) serta 95% (CI). Hasil menunjukkan pergeseran dominasi penyebab kematian dari Penyakit Serebrovaskular (CSDR 249,77 per 1.000.000 penduduk; 95% CI: 240,45–259,35) ke Gangguan Irama dan Konduksi Jantung yang meningkat dari CSDR 188,09 (95% CI: 180,01–196,43) pada 2018 menjadi 750,03 (95% CI: 733,96–766,36) pada 2024, dengan lonjakan tajam sejak fase pandemi akut. Kelompok lansia (≥60 tahun) menanggung beban kematian terbesar (62,1%–64,8%), dengan ASDR Gangguan Irama dan Konduksi Jantung mencapai 4.736,59 (95% CI: 4.607,69–4.868,18) per 1.000.000 lansia pada 2024. Laki-laki secara konsisten memiliki ASDR lebih tinggi dibanding perempuan pada seluruh periode studi. Results showed a shift in dominant cause of death from Cerebrovascular Disease (CSDR 249.77 per 1,000,000 population; 95% CI: 240.45–259.35) to Cardiac Arrhythmia and Conduction Disorders, which increased from CSDR 188.09 (95% CI: 180.01–196.43) in 2018 to 750.03 (95% CI: 733.96–766.36) in 2024, with a sharp surge during the acute pandemic phase. The elderly (≥60 years) consistently bore the greatest mortality burden (62.1%–64.8%), with an ASDR for Cardiac Arrhythmia and Conduction Disorders of 4,736.59 (95% CI: 4,607.69–4,868.18) per 1,000,000 elderly in 2024. Males consistently exhibited higher ASDR than females throughout the entire study period. South Jakarta recorded the highest inter-district CSDR for deaths attributable to Cardiac Arrhythmia and Conduction Disorders in 2024, at 1,210.13 (95% CI: 1,165.91–1,255.60) per 1,000,000 population.
