Health Management Information Systems (HMIS) is an element of health informatics that focuses mainly on the administrational needs of hospitals. The use of HMIS in a hospital operation must be able to provide convenience, to overcome service and to administrative constraints, and to increase productivity. This study aimed to analyze the impact of information system implementation on the productivity of the expenditure cash/ bank unit in a hospital. Subjects and Method: This was a descriptive qualitative study conducted at national cardiovascular center Harapan Kita, Jakarta. The dependent variable was performance. The independent variable was Health Management Information Systems (HMIS) implementation. The data were collected by interview and document review. Results: The manual system at the administrative expenditure cash/ bank unit yielded several issues, such as calculation error, writing error, data duplication, and long processing time. The implementation of verification aplication improved calculation accuracy up to 100%, eliminated data duplication, and shortened processing time Conclusion: The implementation of verification aplication improves productivity of the expenditure cash/ bank unit in a hospital by increasing calculation accuracy, eliminating data duplication, and shortening processing time. Introduction: Workers are one of the vulnerable groups for drug abuse. Drugs use by workers can lead to loss of productivity, workplace accidents and injuries, the increase of employee absenteeism, the decrease in morale and health problems. The purpose of this study was to determine the demographic and psychosocial determinants of drug abuse among workers in Indonesia. Methods: This study was an analysis of secondary data from the 2017 National Survey on Drug Abuse in the Working Group with a total of 34,397 respondents. Data analysis was performed using logistic regression. Results: The multivariate test showed that drug abuse behavior among workers was related to demographic characteristics (education), psychological characteristics (the agreeable attitude towards drug abuse, smoking behavior, drinking behavior, risky sex behavior and doing high-risk/dangerous work), and social characteristics. (drug-prone home environment, easy access to drugs, family consuming drugs, coworkers consuming drugs, friends consuming drugs, conflict within the family, conflict with the co-workers, age at the first time working less than 15 years and rarely/never doing religious activities). Conclusion: Many factors influence drug abuse among workers, therefore there is a need for comprehensive efforts to encourage the creation of a drug abuse prevention programs for workers in Indonesia.
Leprosy is still one of the important health issues in Indonesia. Not only the medical problem, leprosy is also a social problem. The Stigma that arises in society become a problem of people with leprosy to be able to work as usual. This research aims to know the prevalence of leprosy patients who are not productive, and determinants of productivity factors of leprosy patients.
Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui hubungan langsung dan tidak langsung antara motivasi, iklim kerja, dan kepemimpinan serta mengetahui seberapa besar pengaruh ketiga variabel terhadap produktivitas perawat Rumah Sakit Tugu Ibu tahun 2011. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan desain penelitian potong lintang atau cross sectional yang dilakukan untuk mengetahui besar kontribusi variabel eksogen (motivasi, iklim kerja, dan kepemimpinan) terhadap variabel endogen (produktivitas). Penelitian menggunakan total sampling dengan jumlah sampel sebanyak 100 orang. Pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan penyebaran kuesioner dan menggunakan lembar observasi yang dilakukan oleh observer untuk mengukur produktivitas perawat. Pengolahan data pada penelitian ini menggunakan PLS (Partial Least Square). Dari hasil penelitian menunjukkan adanya pengaruh baik langsung maupun tidak langsung motivasi, iklim kerja, dan kepemimpinan terhadap produktivitas perawat Rumah Sakit Tugu Ibu. Penelitian ini mampu menjelaskan kenyataan sebesar 60,4%. Persamaan linier yang didapat dari penelitian ini adalah produktivitas= -0,204 motivasi+0,101 iklim kerja+ 0,266 kepemimpinan+(100-0,06). Dapat disimpulkan bahwa motivasi, iklim kerja, dan kepemimpinan mempengaruhi produktivitas perawat Rumah Sakit Tugu Ibu. Rumah Sakit Tugu Ibu perlu memantau dan mengevaluasi produktivitas dari perawat melalui kegiatan supervisi dan memantau kebijakan tentang sistem remunerasi atau insentif. Kemudian, perlu adanya pembuatan jenjang karir perawat serta menilai serta memberikan umpan balik terhadap kinerja dan mengadakan pelatihan kepemimpinan.
The aims of this study is to determine direct and indirect relationships between motivation, work climate, and leadership and know how big the influence of three variables on the productivity of nurse in Tugu Ibu Hospital 2011. This study uses a quantitative approach with cross-sectional study design which conducted to determine the contribution of exogenous variables (motivation, work climate, and leadership) to the endogenous variable (productivity). This study uses the total sampling (100 people). The data was collected using questionnaires and observation sheets made by the observer to measure the productivity of nurses. Processing the data in this study using PLS (Partial Least Square). This study found that there are relationship obtained either directly or indirectly from motivation, work climate, and leadership to nurse?s productiivity. This research model can explain the real state of 60,4%. Linier equation from this model is productivity= -0,204 motivation+0,101 work climate+0,216 leadership+(100-0,06). It can be concluded that the motivation, work climate, and leadership affect the productivity of nurse In Tugu Ibu Hospital. Tugu Ibu Hospital need to monitor and evaluate the productivity of nurses through supervision activities and monitor the policy on remuneration or incentive systems. Beside that, Tugu Ibu hospital have to manufacturing of nurse career paths, provide feedback on performance, and give leadership training.
