This study discusses fire evacuation strategies using three-dimensional (3D) modeling in the Jakarta International Stadium (JIS) building. Evacuation simulations can now be conducted through computerized modeling, which serves as an effective engineering approach to assess the feasibility of evacuation systems during fire emergencies. Such modeling must be supported by a fundamental understanding of evacuation facilities that play a vital role in facilitating safe and effective evacuation processes. As a multifunctional public facility frequently used for mass events such as football matches and music concerts, stadiums inherently carry a high fire risk. Therefore, this study employed the Pathfinder software to perform 3D evacuation simulations and analyze occupant movement during emergency scenarios within the stadium. The simulation required input data related to both the building structure and occupant characteristics. The simulation results showed a total evacuation time of 4 minutes and 53 seconds for the east and west stands, accommodating a total of 1,640 people. In addition, this research also assessed the level of compliance of the stadium’s evacuation facilities with applicable standards. The assessment revealed a 100% compliance rate, which falls into the “Good (B)” category, indicating that the evacuation infrastructure at Jakarta International Stadium meets the relevant safety and regulatory requirements.
X construction project workers have relatively high work hazards and risks, particularly while working under the COVID-19 pandemic situation. As construction projects must go on, the workers likely have a higher risk of the COVID-19 exposure. When some workers directly or indirectly are exposed to the COVID-19, their jobs are taken over by co-workers. This case results in fatigue for construction workers. Work fatigue is one of the causes of occupational accidents as the fatigue reduces their focus, decision-making abilities, muscle strength, communication skills, productivity, alertness, physical and psychological performance and work motivation. This study aimed to determine the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic on fatigue in PT. X workers. This study applied an observational analytic method with a cross-sectional study design. Samples were taken from the total population of foundry workers in construction projects as many as 100 workers. *Multidimensional Fatigue Inventory Questionnaire*. Data analysis with a quantitative approach used univariate and bivariate analysis. Based on the results of the Pearson correlation analysis with a significant level of p < 0.05, variables that had a relationship with fatigue variable were age (p = 0.048), sleep time (p = 0.040), comorbid (p=0.004) and the COVID-19 pandemic (p=0.001)
The construction industry is a sector with a high risk of occupational accidents; therefore, the implementation of Occupational Health and Safety (OHS) is an essential aspect of creating a safe working environment. Safety climate plays an important role in shaping safe work behavior and is influenced by workers’ individual characteristics. This study aimed to analyze the relationship between individual characteristics and safety climate perceptions among construction project workers at PT XYZ. This study employed a quantitative approach with a cross-sectional design involving 155 workers using a total sampling technique. Data were collected using an individual characteristics questionnaire and NOSACQ 50 and analyzed using univariate, bivariate, and multivariate analyses. The results showed that the majority of respondents were male, within the productive age group of 20–44 years, had a senior high school education or equivalent, worked as field workers, and had less than five years of work experience. Overall, safety climate perception was categorized as good. Gender and job position showed significant relationships with safety climate perception, whereas age, educational level, and work experience showed no significant relationships. Job position was identified as the most dominant factor influencing workers’ safety climate perceptions. The findings of this study are expected to serve as a basis for developing more effective OHS improvement strategies to strengthen safety culture in construction projects.
