Coal Mining Operator is one of the high-risk occupations in experiencing fatigue. Thisstudy aim to determine factors associated with fatigue on coal mining operators througha systematic literature review method. Factors studied were shift work, work duration,and workload with covariate of individual factors (age, sleep quantity, sleep quality, andcircadian rhythm) and factors of work & work environment (rest periods, work hours,and work period). This research is an exploratory study with a descriptive methodthrough a systematic literature review of the literature in according to the researchcriteria. This systematic literature review is conducted through the identification,extraction, synthesis, and interpretation of data obtained from 11 selected literature. Theresukt showed that there was an influence between shift work, work duration, andworkload on fatigue in coal mining operators.
Fatigue is one of the causes of the high accident rate. One type of work that has a high potential to experience fatigue is a coal mine operator. This study aims to explain the different types of vehicles on the level of fatigue in coal mine operators. The variables analyzed were fatigue, vehicle type, age, sleep quantity, work shift, and work period. This research was conducted using a systematic literature review method by conducting a full text review of 10 literatures. The results of this study note the mine operator fatigue level score of 45-56 or 28% - 59.3%. Hauling dump truck operators tend to experience severe fatigue compared to dump truck operators of loading and dumping areas, as well as other operators. In addition, the overall variables, namely the type of vehicle, sleep quantity, and work shift have a significant relationship to the level of fatigue. The conclusion from this study is the type of vehicle used by the operator has an influence on the level of fatigue in the coal mine operator.
Industrial modernization requires automatisation system to be implemented morecommonly. Shiftwork system is also done to ensure that production activity in industryor vital services, such as hospital, do not stop. These systems requires workers to alwaysbe alert which needs to be supported by optimum body function. Even so, these systemsincreases fatigue, stress, and drowsiness, lowering alertness and increases the risk ofincident and accident which are detrimental to health and safety. Aromatherapy is amethod using essential oils to evoke physiological and psychological reaction which iseasy to use and has high potential. This study aims to find the effect of aromatherapy onalertness in adults using systematic literature review based on article from 2000-2020.Database searches are conducted using 7 database which resulted in 16 articles whichfulfilled the inclusion criteria. The results of the study are as follow: peppermint issuggested to be the most effective type of aromatherapy to positively affect alertness orvigilance; followed by lavender, petitgrain, cinnamon, and I. helenium.
Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk analisa pengaruh beban kerja terhadap kelelahan pada operator "heavy dump truck" HD 785-5 di PT. Pamapersada Nusantara district X tahun 2007, dan merupakan studi yng bersifat kualitatif dengan variabel data bersifat kualitatif dan kuantitatif, yang kemudian dikuantitatifkan dengan pendekatan cross-sectional. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah operator truck produksi dengan kategori untuk unit HD 785-5 PT. Pamapersada Nusantara distict X dengan jumlah keseluruhan responden sebanyak 60 orang. Analisis data menggunakan analisis statistik yaitu analisis univariat, dilanjutkan dengan analisis bivariat menggunakan uji signifikansi (Chi-square) dan dilanjutkan dengan uji korelasi (nilai r). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa mayoritas operator HD 785-5 (37 orang/61.7%) mengalami tingkat kelelahan ringan. Berdasarkan uji signifikansi (chi-square) dan Uji korelasi (nilai r) yang dilakukan terhadap empat variabel independen, diketahui bahwa faktor yang terdapat signitikan pada operator heavy dump truck PT. Pamapersada district X adalah faktor Iama mengemudi yang merupakan faktor eksternal. Lama mengemudi terbukti mempengaruhi kelelahan operator heavy dump truck PT. Pamapersada Nusantara distict X, sehingga untuk mengurangi terjadinya kelelahan diperlukan adanya sharing informast atau pengalaman antara operator senior dan adanya srecthing untuk para operator apabila untuk meregangkan kekakuan otot dan perlunya pengaturan istirahat yang tepat untuk menghindari terjadinya kelelahan Iebih lanjut. Peneliti berharap penelitian ini dapat memberikan rekomendasi dan masukan kepada PT. Pamapersada Nusantara district X untuk pembuatan program guna mengurangi angka kecelakaan pada kecelakaan yang diduga dikarenakan oleh kelelahan pada umumnya dan khususnya untuk meningkatkan kewaspadaan terhadap terjadinya kelelahan.
This research is going to ind the influence of workload to the fatigue of Operator Heavy Dump Truck HD 785-5 at PT. Pamapersada Nusantara district X, and constitute of qualitative study with qualitative and quantitative data variable, then made it quantitative with cross-sectional approach. The Population in this research are all of the operator PT. Pamapersada Nusantara district X that operated HD 785-5 with quantity 60 respondens. Data analysis using statistic analysis i.e univariate analysis, follow up by bivariate analysis with chi-square and PPM (Pearson's Product Moment). The Result of the research show that the majority of operator Heavy Dump Truck HD 785-5 (37 persons / 61,7%) was in mild category. Based on chi-square and PPM test that had done to four independence variables, the result that related and associated of workload influence the fatigue of operator Heavy Dump Truck HD 785-5 is Driving Duration, it's one of research external factors. Driving duration was proven be influence of operator Heavy dump truck fatigue's at PT. Pamapersada Nusantara district X. To eliminate fatigue is necessary to share information and experience from senior to junior, and next is the stretching movement to the operator with intend to relax muscle from stiffness and the last one is rest time management in certain shift which indicated and predicted that necessary to take in action in case to avoid further act of fatigue. Researcher hopefully that this research could contribute and give proper recommendation to PT. Pamapesada Nusantara District X, for developing fatigue management program to eliminate incident rate (In General) and to conduct fatigue awareness through safety program planning (ln Specific), which indicated and predicted because of Fatigue.
Data Kementerian ESDM mencatat 93 kecelakaan di area pertambangan pada tahun 2021, dengan 36 kecelakaan ringan dan 57 kecelakaan berat, merenggut 11 korban jiwa. Tahun 2019 menjadi tahun terburuk dengan 133 kecelakaan (27 ringan, 106 berat) dan 24 korban jiwa. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui hubungan kualitas tidur dengan kelelahan kerja setelah dikontrol oleh variabel confounding pada operator alat berat industri pertambangan PT.X Site A 2024. Metode yang digunakan pada penelitian ini adalah penerapan rancangan cross-sectional. Studi ini melibatkan 213 pekerja yang diminta untuk mengisi kuisioner. Analisis data dilakukan menggunakan uji multivariat analisis faktor risiko. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa 49,3% pekerja mengalami kelelahan kerja pada tingkat berat, sedangkan 50,7% responden mengalami kelelahan kerja pada tingkat ringan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan terdapat hubungan antara kualitas tidur dengan kelelahan kerja (p value=0,011). Pekerja yang memiliki kualitas tidur buruk berisiko 2,38 kali untuk mengalami kelelahan kerja berat dibandingkan pekerja yang memiliki kualitas tidur baik setelah dikontrol oleh variabel masa kerja, waktu perjalanan, lingkungan tidur, dan faktor psikososial (overcommitment) (aOR=2,38 95% CI 1,22 – 4,65). Data from the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources (ESDM) recorded 93 accidents in mining areas in 2021, with 36 minor accidents and 57 serious accidents, claiming 11 lives. The year 2019 was the worst year with 133 accidents (27 minor, 106 serious) and 24 fatalities. This research aims to determine the relationship between sleep quality and work fatigue after controlling for confounding variables in heavy equipment operators in the mining industry of PT.X Site A 2024. The method used in this research is the application of a cross-sectional design. This study involved 213 workers who were asked to fill out questionnaires. Data analysis was performed using multivariate risk analysis. The results of the study showed that 49.3% of workers experienced severe work fatigue, while 50.7% of respondents experienced mild work fatigue. The results of the study showed that there is a relationship between sleep quality and work fatigue (p value = 0.011). Workers with poor sleep quality were 2.38 times more likely to experience severe work fatigue compared to workers with good sleep quality after controlling for work experience, travel time, sleep environment, and psychosocial factors (overcommitment) (aOR = 2.38 95% CI 1.22 – 4.65).
