ABSTRACT Name : Syifa Pramudita Faddila Study Program : Public Health Title : Association between Physical Activity and Consumption with Overweight among Children Aged 10-12 Years in Indonesia 2013 (Multilevel Analysis of Riskesdas 2013) Counsellor : dr.Iwan Ariawan, MSPH Physical activity and balanced food consumption is an attempt to reduce overweight in childhood so as not to continue to be obese or other degenerative diseases. Globally, 42 million children are overweight by 2015 and overweight in Indonesia is around 10.8% in 2013. The purpose of this study was to examine the association between physical activity and consumption with overweight among children aged 10-12 years in Indonesia 2013. This study uses secondary data Riskesdas 2013 with a cross sectional study design where the sample of research is 49,620 children. The results showed 14.5% of respondents had overweight. Only physical activity had significant association with overweight (p=0,014), whereas risky food consumption (p=0,518) with fruit and vegetable consumption (p=0,693) was not significant. Less active respondents were at risk 1.11 times (95% CI= 1.02-1.21) to become overweight compared with active respondents. Multilevel analysis results show that variation in overweight between provinces is greater when compared to risk factors at the individual level (MOR=1.37). Overweight are related to the physical activity of children, while consumption is unrelated. It needed strategy and promotion of physical activity in children by involving parents and built environment to make children more active to reduce overweight. LS V, 2014)Adolescents hypertension is still become a problem for health, because it can increase thenumber of mortality and morbidity from cardiovascular disease in adulthood. Overweighthas become one of the risk factors of it. There is increasing prevalence of overweight inadolescents of aged 16─18 in Indonesia. Based on Riskesdas, there is a growing ofadolescents at the aged of 16─18 in Indonesia between 2007─2013, its around 5,7% and6,7%. The aim of this study is to find out the relation of overweight and adolescentshypertension at the aged of 15─17 based on IFLS V data in 2014. The design of this studyis using cross sectional secondary data of IFLS V 2014 with logistic regression are usedfor data analysis. The analysis showed that adolescents with overweight had a POR 1,530times (95% CI 1.880─2.166) compared to un-overweight (normal-weight) adolescentsafter being control by gender. The boys have advantage to increasing of physical activity(by running or brisk walking) to prevent from overweight and hypertension.
Indonesia faces a quite serious nutritional problem. Most of the stigma of parents in Indonesia is they will be proud if they have fat toddlers and still think that fat children are cute and adorable. In fact, children who were overweight and obese also tend to be overweight and obese in their adolescence and adulthood. If it is not handled quickly, it can cause economic losses and a decrease in the quality of human resources. The aim of this study was to find out effects of overweight and obesity on toddlers aged 24-59 years against overweight and obesity in adults aged 22-26 years (Based on IFLS Data for 1993 and 2014). The design used was longitudinal study using data from Indonesian Family Life Survey (IFLS) I in 1993 and IFLS 5 in 2014. Samples eligible were as many as 608 people. Data was analyzed by using univariate, bivariate, and multivariate method. This results of this study were only 3.3% of subject was overweight/obese toddler in 1993, while in 2014, adult whose are overweight/ obese were 23.8%. (Overweight / obesity in toddlers at the age of 24-59 years did not affect overweight / obesity in adult aged 22-26 years (p = 0.758 and OR = 1.18).

Accurate instruments to measure percent body fat are expensive and haved ifficult procedures, so another alternative to measure percent body fat are Needed. This study aims to obtain the most accurate anthropometric measurement in evaluating overweight with bia as a golden standard. This study was conducted in april-may 2017 and the respondents are adolescent in senior high school student of al-azhar 3 jakarta (14-17 years old) with a total number of respondents were 107 boys and 71 girls. This study is a cross sectional design. The results showed that bmi/age had the highest coefficient correlation value in both sexes (r=0,88). In addition, bmi/age also had the best validity in detecting overweight in both sexes, with a cut-off points +0,77 sd (se:86,6%; sp:85,0%; Ppv:89%; npv: 81%; lr+:5,77; lr-:0,16) in boys and +0,09 sd (se:93,1%; Sp:95,0%; ppv:95%; npv:96%; lr+:13,80; lr-:0,05) in girls.
