Abstrak:
PT American Standard Indonesia merupakan perusahaan yang bergerak di bidang sanitary manufactur yang memproduksi peralatan sanitasi seperti closetdan wastafel. Salah satu tahapan produksinya yaitu pencetakan (casting) sertapembakaran yang suhunya dapat mencapai 20000C. Hasil menunjukkan indeks WBGT in rata-rata area Kiln dan Cast Shop antara 30.710C-33.80C dengan polakerja pekerja 50%-75% serta beban kerja yang masuk dalam katagori sedang halini dapat menyebabkan pekerja mengalami heat stress. Heat stress dapatdipengaruhi oleh faktor suhu lingkungan yang tinggi, kelembaban, kecepatan angin, pola kerja, beban kerja, serta pakaian kerja. Penelitian ini bersifat deskriptif dengan desain penelitian cross-sectional. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengethuipengendalian heat stres yang telah dilakukan perusahaan terhadap pekerja di areaKiln dan Cast shop di PT American Standard Indonesia. Hasil Penelitian berupaanalisis faktor penyebab heat stress dan pengendalian heat stress yang telahdilakukan di area Kiln dan Cast Shop PT American Standard Indonesia serta evaluasi terhadap program pengendalian yang telah dilakukan. Abstrak:
Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah melakukan penilaian terhadap pajanan tekanan panasdi workshop pembuatan batik yang terletak di Kecamatan Mauk, Tangerang.Sebanyak 84% dari pekerja yang diwawancarai mengeluh tentang suhu lingkungankerja yang dirasa terlalu panas, meskipun dalam hal ini sudah terdapat pengendalianterhadap tekanan panas yang terpasang pada bangunan. Penilaian didasarkan pada tigakriteria menurut Worksafe BC 2007, yakni faktor lingkungan, faktor pekerja, danfaktor pekerjaan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa Indeks Suhu Basah dan Bola(ISBB) di luar ruangan (outdoor) lebih tinggi dibanding ISBB di dalam ruangan(indoor) dan indeks panas berada pada area berbahaya dengan level risiko tinggi.Hasil observasi faktor pekerja yang meliputi aklimatisasi, status hidrasi dan pakaiankerja tidak menunjukkan adanya upaya pengendalian yang dilakukan. Demikian jugahasil observasi pada faktor pekerjaan yakni beban kerja dan pola kerja tidakmenunjukkan adanya pengendalian administratif yang diupayakan dalam menanganikeluhan terhadap pajanan tekanan panas ini. Penurunan tingkat risiko pajanan tekananpanas diharapkan dapat dilakukan dengan modifikasi pengendalian teknis,mengupayakan pengendalian administratif serta penggunaan pakaian kerja yangsesuai dengan lingkungan kerja dengan pajanan tekanan panas.

Abstrak:
Dalam industri peleburan aluminium, tekanan panas (heat stress) adalah salah satu bahaya fisik yang paling besar pengaruhnya terhadap keselamatan dan kesehatan pekerja disamping bahaya lainnya. Menurut NIOSH (2016), pekerja yang terpajan panas yang tinggi atau pekerja dengan dengan aktivitas fisik berat kemungkinan akan berisiko terjadinya kecelakaan atau penyakit akibat heat stress. Hasil pengukuran di perusahaan XYZ pada puncak musim panas 2018 menunjukkan bahwa indeks WBGT telah mencapai 37 0 C. Suhu tersebut melebihi nilai ambang batas yang ditetapkan. Di perusahaan peleburan aluminium XYZ, sumber panas luar selain dari proses peleburan, juga berasal dari suhu udara lingkungan, hal ini karena lokasi Perusahaan XYZ berada di wilayah Timur Tengah dengan suhu lingkungan yang tinggi dan kelembaban udara yang tinggi pada saat musim panas. Di wilayah Timur Tengah ada sekitar 6 perusahaan peleburan aluminium yang beroperasi dalam sekala besar, namun sampai saat ini penelitian terkait pengelolaan heat stress masih belum banyak dilakukan. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mendapatkan gambaran pelaksanaan program pengeloaan Heat stress di Perusahaan XYZ tahun 2019 dibandingkan dengan rekomendasi NIOSH Criteria for a recommended standard: occupational exposure to heat and hot environments - revised criteria 2016. Disain penelitian ini adalah penelitian Mixed Method, yaitu sebagian pengolahan data dinilai secara kualitatif dan sebagian lainnya dinilai secara deskripstif kualitatif dengan metode pengumpulan data berupa data primer dan sekunder. Secara umum, peserta sebagian besar kuisoner menyatakan bahwa perusahaan XYZ telah menerapkan pengelolaan heat stress dengan baik. Dari hasil kuisoner persentase kesesuian sebesar 85,41% dengan rekomendasi NIOSH: Criteria for a recommended standard-ccupational Exposure to Heat and Hot environment- revised 2016 yang sejalan dengan hasil dari hasil wawancara, observasi lapangan yang telah dilakukan. Meskipun demikian masih beberapa hal yang masih perlu dilakukan perbaikan agar risiko tidak terjadi kasus heat stress makin menurun.

Abstrak:
Kombinasi dari temperatur lingkungan kerja, panas metabolik dari tubuh pekerja,pakaian kerja, dan faktor individu dapat menimbulkan tekanan panas (heat stress)bagi pekerja di area peleburan, proses sekunder, dan pengecoran SSP PT KrakatauSteel. Tekanan panas berpotensi menimbulkan gangguan kesehatan (heat-relateddisorders) yang diawali dengan berbagai respon fisiologis tubuh (heat strain)berupa gejala-gejala atau keluhan yang dirasakan secara subjektif oleh pekerja.Penelitian dilakukan pada 51 orang responden dengan desain studi cross sectional deskriptif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa responden yang mengalami tekanan panas adalah 36 orang dari 51 responden (70,6%) di area peleburan danproses sekunder. Seluruh responden merasa bahwa suhu lingkungan kerja mereka panas dan 74,5% responden merasa tidak nyaman (terganggu) dengan kondisi panas tersebut. Oleh karena itu, diperlukan berbagai upaya pengendalian dari segiteknis, administratif, maupun penyediaan alat pelindung diri untuk meminimalisasi risiko timbulnya keluhan yang dirasakan pekerja akibat tekanan panas.

Abstrak:
Pekerja di pabrik pembuatan gong Bogor berisiko mengalami tekanan panas yang berasal dari tungku pembakaran. Tujuan dari penelitian yaitu untuk memperoleh gambaran keluhan kesehatan akibat tekanan panas. Penelitian dilakukan pada 18 pekerja dengan desain studi deskriptif cross-sectional pada bulan Juni 2016. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan indeks WBGT di ruang produksi melebihi nilai ambang batas yang diperkenankan dan pekerja mengalami tekanan panas. Keluhan paling dominan yang dirasakan pekerja yaitu banyak berkeringat, cepat haus dan lelah, tidak nyaman dalam bekerja, kulit terasa panas, dan kulit terasa perih kemerahan. Pabrik disarankan memperbaiki lingkungan kerja untuk meminimalisasi keluhan kesehatan dan risiko gangguan kesehatan akibat tekanan panas.

PT XYZ adalah industri manufaktur yang memiliki proses produksi yang menghasilkan panas dan berpotensi menimbulkan heat stress bagi pekerja. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui faktor-faktor yang berhubungan dengan tingkat keluhan subjektif akibat tekanan panas pada pekerja di area fermentasi kedelai dan pemasakan PT XYZ. Penelitian dilakukan pada 55 responden dengan desain studi cross sectional deskriptif. Wet Bulb Globe Temperature (WBGT) digunakan untuk mengukur risiko tekanan panas. Kuesioner menilai keluhan subjektif pekerja akibat tekanan panas. Hasil menunjukkan indeks WBGT rata-rata di area adalah 27,35°C - 32,29°C. Terdapat 70,9% responden mengalami tekanan panas dan 54,5% mengalami keluhan ringan. Keluhan subjektif utama yaitu banyak berkeringat (67,3%) dan merasa haus (50,9%). Faktor-faktor yang berhubungan dengan tingkat keluhan subjektif, yaitu kejadian tekanan panas (p value= 0,001) dan beban kerja (p value= 0,019). Rekomendasi dari segi teknis, administratif, maupun personal dibutuhkan untuk meminimalisasi keluhan subjektif dan dampak kesehatan akibat tekanan panas.
