This thesis describes relationship between Patient Safety Culture and compliance inimplementation of Universal Precautions/Standard Precautions by Nurses and Midwivesat inpatient unit in Budhi Asih Hospital Jakarta 2015. The study was a descriptiveanalytical research on the relationship between open culture, just culture, reportingculture, learning culture and information culture with the compliance in implementationof universal precaution /standards precautions using cross sectional study design withself administered questionnaires. The results showed that compliance to theimplementation of universal precautions by nurses and midwives in Budhi Asih Hospitalinpatient is good. Found an association between open culture and reporting culture withcompliance in the implementation of universal precautions or standards precautions.Hospital management must integrate patient and officers safety aspects in every policyand create a favorable climate of openness and reporting incidents that occurred as inputfor the improvement of the hospital safety culture in the future.
Keselamatan pasien rumah sakit adalah suatu sistem untuk membuat asuhan pasien lebih aman. Mengingat pentingnya pelaksanaan patient safety di rumah sakit dilakukan penelitian tentang hubungan karakteristik, pengetahuan dan motivasi terhadap perilaku patient safety pada perawat Rumah Sakit X Kota Y. Penelitian ini menggunakan desain cross sectional dengan sampel 99 orang perawat yang dilaksanakan di bulan Februari 2012. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukan bahwa variabel yang berhubungan dengan sikap patient safety adalah pendidikan, pengetahuan dan motivasi. Variabel pengetahuan memiliki pengaruh yang paling besar dalam hubungannya dengan sikap patient safety pada perawat. Rekomendasi yang dapat diajukan untuk mengatasi kurangnya pengetahuan perawat tentang patient safety antara lain melakukan seleksi lebih ketat dengan memberikan ujian mengenai patient safety untuk penerimaan perawat baru sehingga rumah sakit memiliki perawat yang dapat dihandalkan dan dapat dengan tepat menempatkan perawat tersebut. Selain itu, rumah sakit juga dapat memberikan banyak pelatihan terkait patient safety secara berkala sehingga seluruh perawat dapat memahami tentang patient safety. Untuk tim patient safety, perlu melakukan penilaian khusus bagi karyawan yang memberikan laporan patient safety, sehingga meningkatkan motivasi perawat untuk melapor bila melakukan kesalahan Kata kunci : Patient Safety, Perilaku Perawat Daftar bacaan : 35 ( 1989 – 2011 ).
Hospital patient safety is a system to maintain the patient nursing safer. In view of the importance of patient safety implementation in hospital, the study was conducted to assess the relation of characteristics, knowledge, and motivation toward patient safety behavior of nurses at X Hospital in Y City. Cross sectional design was employed in this study with a sample of 99 nurses in February 2012. The study showed that education, knowledge, and motivation related to the patient safety behavior. The knowledge variable had the most influence factor in relation to the patient safety behavior of nurses. It is recommended that to overcome the lack of knowledge of nurses about patient safety is to conduct more selective in recruiting the nurse by providing a patient safety test. So, the hospital will have reliable nurses and will place them in the right position. Besides, the hospital can provide more regularly trainings related to patient safety. For patient safety team, it is needed to implement a special assessment for staffs that submit the patient safety report in order to increase the motivation of nurses to convey whenever they make mistakes. ABSTRAK Nama : Sri Lenita Program Studi : Pasca Sarjana Kajian Administrasi Rumah Sakit Judul : Analisis Penerapan Konsep Lean Pada Alur Proses Pemeriksaan Laboratorium di RSUD Cengkareng Tahun 2015. Tesis ini membahas tentang faktor – faktor yang menyebabkan waktu tunggu layanan Laboratorium RSUD Cengkareng tidak mencapai target dengan menggunakan konsep lean. Penelitian ini bersifat analitik dengan pendekatan kualitatif melalui observasi dan telaah dokumen, kemudian dilanjutkan dengan wawancara mendalam kepada informan. Hasil penelitian digambarkan dalam current state VSM menunjukkan bahwa 19% total waktu layanan merupakan waktu yang dibutuhkan untuk kegiatan value added sedangkan 81% total waktu layanan merupakan waktu yang digunakan untuk kegiatan non value added (waste). Penelitian ini menyarankan pelaksanaan kegiatan 5S, visual mangement di laboratorium dan perencanaan pengadaan sistem yang terintegrasi serta pemanfaatan pneumatic tube. Kata kunci: Waktu tunggu, konsep lean ,waste.
ABSTRACT Name : Sri Lenita Study Program: Post Graduate Study of Hospital Administration Title : Analysis of The Implementation Lean Concept on The Laboratory Process of RSUD Cengkareng in 2015 This thesis discusses the factors that led to the waiting time Cengkareng Hospital Laboratory services do not reach the target by using lean concepts. This research is an analytical qualitative approach through the observation and study of the document, followed by in-depth interview to the informant. The results of the study are described in the current state VSM showed that 19% of the total service time is the time required for value added activities, while 81% of the total service time is the time spent on non-value added activities (waste). This study suggests the implementation of 5S, visual mangement in the laboratory , procurement planning of the integrated system and utilization of pneumatic tube. Supervision is a form supervisory that aim to improve the staf performancethrough a systematic process in the provision of motivation, communication andguidance. This study used an observational design with cross sectional approachusing stratified random sampling. The purpose of this study was to determine therelationship between the function of head room supervision with the complianceof nurses in performing SOP patient identification. The result of this researchusing Chi Square test to prove there is a significant correlation betweenmotivation, communication and guidance to compliance of nurses inimplementating SOP of patient identification (p value < α). The conclusion of thisstudy is that the functions of the supervision of head room have a very importantrole to improve the nurses complaince in conducting the patient identificationbased on the SOP.Key word : Nurses compliance, The function of supervision, SOP, Identificationof patient
As one of chronic diseases, COPD patient has a potential to excacerbate and readmitted to hospital, having few relatable determinants if which avoided or controlled can give a chance of avoidable excacerbation and or readmssion.This thesis discusses how clinical pathway implementation adherence influences Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease (COPD) readmission in St Elisabeth Lela Hospital in Sikka District 2019. This research used cross sectional design with quantitative approach. Variables analyzed were within 3 determinant groups related to COPD patient readmission : referral health facilites (clinical pathway implementation adherence), treatment follow up (to policlinics or primary care health facilities) and patient (age, gender, comorbidities and complications). Research result suggest that complications dominantly related to patient readmission, controlled with clinical pathway implementation adherence and follow up visits to primary care health facility. Further improvement on clinical pathway implementation is needed especially for the nutrition indicator and also the need to put Case Manager into practice to coordinate health proffesionals surrounding and taking take of COPD patients in hospital to be able to attain continued treatment from referral to primary care health facilities and vice versa
