PT. X is a company of tourism and property industry. The employees arerequired to continuously improve the quality of services in accordance theexpectation of customers and organization that cause stress of work. This studyaims to analyze the association between psychosocial hazards and work relatedstress using a cross sectional study on 107 respondents. The result showed 49.5%of respondents experiencing high stress. Psychosocial factors significantlyassociated with work-related stress on employees are career development, jobsatisfaction, interpersonal relationship, task design and workload. There was nosignificantly associated job control, and work schedule with work-related stress.
Salah satu bentuk hazard adalah pola kerja/istirahat dan waktu kerja. Diklasifikasikan sebagai salah satu jenis hazard karena pola kerja berpotensi menimbulkan gangguan irama kerja dan istirahat pada manusia terutama pada pekerja shift malam. Sebagai salah satu akibat negatif dari pola kerja terutama pola shift, kelelahan kerja merupakan keluhan umum pada populasi pekerja. Hampir 20% dari populasi pekerja melaporkan gejala yang termasuk dalam kelelahan kerja . Sedangkan kelelahan kerja sendiri mempunyai efek negatif pada safety, kesehatan dan pembiayaan. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui tingkat kelelahan pada karyawan perusahaan migas X Kalimantan Timur dan hubungan antara kelelahan dengan pola kerja, umur, lama bekerja, jenis pekerjaan, jam kerja, indeks massa tubuh dan kondisi kesehatan untuk dapat diambil langkah - langkah dan upaya mitigasi. Desain penelitian ini adalah penelitian cross sectional dan pengukuran kelelahan dilakukan dengan menggunakan 2 metode yaitu subjective feeling fatigue dengan menggunakan kuesioner Fatigue Assesment Scale (FAS) dan alat pengukur kecepatan reaksi reaction time. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa prosentase kelelahan bervariasi antara 33% sampai dengan 88%. Hasil penelitian juga menunjukkan bahwa jam kerja adalah faktor yang berhubungan dengan kelelahan sedangkan faktor pola kerja, umur, lama bekerja, jenis pekerjaan, indeks massa tubuh dan kondisi kesehatan tidak berhubungan. Analisis multivariat pada menunjukkan bahwa faktor jenis kerja, usia dan jam kerja adalah faktor - faktor yang dominan berpeluang mempengaruhi kelelahan. Perlunya dilakukan penelitian yang lebih mendalam mengenai kelelahan kerja dengan mempertimbangkan faktor independen lain seperti faktor lingkungan dan tanggung jawab. Pemanfaatan waktu istirahat dengan baik, pengaturan waktu kerja, pengelolaan lingkungan kerja, program olah raga dan pemeriksaan kesehatan secara berkala merupakan usaha - usaha yang dapat dilakukan untuk penegelolaan keleleahan kerja di lokasi kerja.
One type of hazard is work/ rest pattern. It is classified into one type of hazard since the work pattern has potential to disturb working and rest rhythm for human being especially for night shift workers. As one of negative impacts of working pattern especially shifts work, fatigue is general complaint from workers population. Almost 20% of the worker`s population reporting fatigue symptom. Fatigue itself has negative effects on safety, health and cost. The purposes of this research are in order to know fatigue condition of employees who work at oil and gas company X East Kalimantan and the relationship between fatigue and working pattern, age, working tenure, working type, working hour, body mass index and illness for taking necessary and mitigation actions. The research design is cross sectional and fatigue measurement using 2 methods i.e. measuring subjective feeling fatigue with Fatigue Assessment Scale (FAS) questionnaire and measuring reaction time. The result showed that percentage of worker with fatigue is varying from 33% up to 88%. Working hour is the only independent factor which has relationship with fatigue among other factors such as working pattern, age, working tenure, working type, body mass index and illness. Multivariate analysis showed that working type, age and working hour are dominant factors which are contributing to fatigue. Conduct further research on fatigue using other independent factors such as environment and responsibility. Optimize rest and break time, working time arrangement, working environment management, fitness and sport program and annual medical program are mitigation programs for fatigue management on site.
PT X merupakan sebuah perusahaan tambang di Papua Tengah, melaporkan bahwa selama pandemi Covid-19, 57.8% pekerja mengalami burnout, 47.7% stres, dan 51.4% depresi. Divisi geoteknikal PT X, yang memiliki pekerjaan berisiko tinggi dan mobilitas tinggi, menghadapi faktor risiko gangguan psikososial yang signifikan. Penelitian tahun 2024 bertujuan untuk mengidentifikasi faktor risiko ini dan memberikan rekomendasi untuk pengelolaan gangguan psikososial, mendukung komitmen perusahaan dalam pencegahan, perlindungan, promosi, dan dukungan kesehatan mental karyawan. Studi ini adalah penelitian kuantitatif dengan desain potong lintang deskriptif analitik di divisi geoteknikal PT X di Tembagapura dan Timika, Papua, dari April hingga Mei 2024. Populasi penelitian terdiri dari 644 karyawan, dengan 323 responden yang dipilih secara acak sederhana. Instrumen pengumpulan data berupa kuesioner COPSOQ III dan DASS-21. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan prevalensi gejala depresi 12.38%, ansietas 17.96%, dan stres kerja 21.67% di antara karyawan divisi geoteknikal PT X tahun 2024, dengan tingkat keparahan yang bervariasi. Faktor individu, pekerjaan, organisasional, interpersonal, dan sosial berkontribusi signifikan terhadap gejala-gejala tersebut. Perusahaan disarankan mengadopsi strategi intervensi komprehensif untuk mengelola dan mencegah gangguan psikososial di kalangan karyawan.
PT X is a mining company in Central Papua, reported that during the Covid-19 pandemic, 57.8% of its employees’ experienced burnout, 47.7% experienced stress, and 51.4% experienced depression. PT X's geotechnical division, characterized by high-risk and high-mobility roles, faces significant psychosocial risk factors. The 2024 study aimed to identify these risk factors and provide recommendations for managing psychosocial disorders, supporting the company's commitment to prevention, protection, promotion, and support for employees' mental health. This quantitative study employed a cross-sectional descriptive analytic design in PT X's geotechnical division in Tembagapura and Timika, Papua, from April to May 2024. The study population comprised 644 employees, with 323 randomly selected respondents. Data were collected using COPSOQ III and DASS-21 questionnaires. The research findings revealed a prevalence of 12.38% for depression, 17.96% for anxiety, and 21.67% for work stress among PT X's geotechnical division employees in 2024, with varying severity levels. Individual, occupational, organizational, interpersonal, and social factors significantly contributed to these symptoms. The company is advised to adopt a comprehensive intervention strategy to manage and prevent psychosocial disorders among its employees.
This research describes about the workstation design compliance, work posture, anddescription of musculoskeletal system symptoms among computer users at headoffice of PT X Jakarta year 2016. The research was carried out by using descriptivemethod and cross sectional as design study, by observing the workstation design(chair, desk, monitor, keyboard and mouse, and telephone) compliance against therespective standard (OSHA) using observation checklist as measurement tool, theobservation of work posture and the level of work posture risk among the computerusers were conducted by using ROSA (Rapid Office Strain Assessment) method, toget brief description of musculoskeletal system symptoms was by interviewing therespondent and completing CMDQ (Cornell Musculoskeletal DiscomfortQuestionnaire). Therefore, from this research, it may be used as reference todetermine the corrective action and control measure based on hierarchy of riskcontrol related to nonconformity of work station design, work posture and the issueof musculoskeletal system symptoms.
The death rate due to elevators in the world at 1999-2009 was 263 people, caused by 57% falling, 18% being pinched, 17% falling by objects, and 9% other causes. One of the efforts to prevent accidents was to analyze psychosocial factors that caused work stress and at-risk behavior that can lead to work accidents. The purpose of this study was to determine the relationship of psychosocial factors to work stress and at-risk behavior of employees at PT. X which is engaged in the elevator and escalator sector. This research method was descriptive quantitative, cross-sectional study, with a sample of 200 people. Psychosocial factors related to workload and work speed, job control, organizational function, interpersonal relationships, organizational roles, career development, home-work interface, psychological demands, participation or supervision, bullying and violence. There is a relationship between work stress and at-risk behavior. Behaviors that often arise when employees experience work stress are rushing at work decisions. The highest work stress complaints were related to physiological complaints, namely the consumption of headache relievers; behavioral complaints, namely interrupting and cutting other people's sentences; emotional complaints, namely refusal to go to work; Cognitive complaints are difficulty thinking clearly and concentrating. PT X should conduct a more comprehensive risk assessment, clarify career development, and recalculate the workload, effectiveness and efficiency to prevent negative impact on employees' work-life balance.
Work is part an important role ini human life. Physical workenvironment, design and inadequate work organization such as speed andexcessive workload are factors that cause health problems, including stresscaused by work. In 2005 as many as 22 %of European workers experiencingstress in the form of lower back pain, muscle aches and fatigue.The study was conducted in November 2012 with a cross sectionalstudy design. The population in this study were employees at service,operational and administrative in PT. X with number of sample many as 31people.Purpose this study was to determine factors that affect job stress onemployee at PT. X.The result showed that most respondents experienced moderate stresswas 64,5% of total respondents, followed by respondents who experiencedmild stress by 35,3% of total respondent. Stressor variables related (having p-value < 0,05) with level of work stress is lack of clarity task with OR valuesindicates ratio lack of clarity task has 6 times to experience mild stress in thecompany. Not find any significant association between work hours, overtime,excessive workload, work shift, work routine, physical environment,supervisor support and peer support with level of work stress at PT.
