Hypertension is currently not only suffered by adults, but also suffered by adolescents. Hypertension in adolescents related to unhealthy lifestyle by teenagers, one of them is smoking. This study aims to determine the relationship between smoking with hypertension in adolescents aged 15-19 years in Indonesia. This research is a quantitative research with cross sectional design, using Indonesian Family Life Survey 5 (IFLS 5) data, and analysed statically with multiple logistic regression. The results showed that adolescents who experienced hypertension are 14.57% and adolescents smoked are 17.99%. Multivariate analysis showed that light smokers had a risk of 0.63 times lower for hypertension than not smokers after controlled for sex variables, whereas in heavy smokers there was no significant association. Screening of hypertension is needed to determine the hypertension status in adolescents, so that the management of hypertension can be done appropriately

Adolescents have a higher susceptibility to depression during puberty. Early menarche prevalention increased to 9% based on 2017 IDHS data on Adolescent Reproductive Health. The data was obtained from IFLS-5 years 2014. This study was a cross sectional study which aimed to examine the associations between early menarche and depression among adolescents in Indonesia. The sample for this study were 714 adolescents aged 15-21 years. The results of this study proved that there was a significant relationship between early menarche and depression in adolescents after controlled by neuroticism personality traits. Adolescent girls who experienced early menarche were 0,48 times (OR 0,479; 95% CI; 0,319-0,719) to experience depression than girls with normal menarche. This study recommend to teacher and adolescent health services to increase awareness of adolescents so they can manage themselves and emotions as the effects of puberty.
In the past ten years, there has been a decline in the prevalence of early marriage by 3,5%, namely 14,67% in 2008 to 11,21% in 2018. However, the decline has not yet reached the expected target and is relatively slow. This study aims to determine the effect of early marriage on the incidence of stunting in children 0-24 months in Indonesia. The research design used was cross sectional using secondary data from the Indonesia Family Life Survey (IFLS) in 2007 and 2014 with a sample of 1.307 respondents. The result showed that the prevalence of early marriage in 2007 was 29,0% decreased in 2014 to 24,1%. Likewise, the prevalence of stunting in children 024 months decreased, namely 32,6% in 2007 to 31,3% in 2014. Analysis of Multiple Logistic Regression shows early marriage affects the incidence of stunting of children aged 0-24 months, with value of OR = 1,57. The effect of early marriage on stunting differs according to age at first delivery and breastfeeding history. To prevent the practice of early marriage, the government is expected to disseminate the Marriage Law No. 16 of 2019 concerning the minimum aged for marriage for women and men is 19 years for the whole community. In addition, increasing efforts to integrated antenatal services, as well as breastfeeding and feeding counseling to children, especially for adolescent mothers.
