Consumption of fried foods, high in saturated fat is known to increase the risk of cardiovascular disease which is long and expensive treatment. This study aims to analyze the determinants of fried food consumption in Indonesia. This study uses secondary data from the 2019 SUSENAS with a sample that meets the inclusion and exclusion criteria of 883,952 respondents. The model used in econometric analysis is a two-part model. The outcome variable is the probability and quantity of fried food consumption. The results showed that individuals who consumed fried food in Indonesia were predicted to be 84.57 percent with a quantity of 4.12 pieces per week. The determinants related to the consumption of fried food in Indonesia are price, income per capita, age, length of education, employment status, place of residence, access to information and access to food. The gender variable did not show a relationship with the probability of consumption but only related to the quantity of consumption in those who consumed fried food. The most dominant variable related to the consumption of fried food in Indonesia is price. A one percent increase in the price of fried food will reduce the probability of people consuming fried food by 0,21 percent and 0.74 pieces per day for those who eat it. Fried foods are classified as goods that are inelastic to price changes. The variables of age, length of education, and employment status have very small relationship strength
ABSTRAK Nama : Gita Erysha Minarni Program Studi : Magister Ilmu Kesehatan Masyarakat Judul : Pengembangan Strategi Promosi Kesehatan Dalam Upaya Pengendalian Faktor Risiko Penyakit Kardiovaskular di Kalangan Jemaat Gereja HKBP Pasar Rebo Tahun 2017 Tesis ini meneliti tentang pengembangan strategi promosi kesehatan dalam upaya pengendalian faktor risiko penyakit kardiovaskular di kalangan jemaat Gereja HKBP Pasar Rebo. Faktor risiko yang diteliti adalah tekanan darah, kolesterol, gula darah dan asam urat. Variabel lain yang diteliti pada penelitian ini adalah variabel perilaku dan karakteristik individu. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode gabungan, yaitu metode kuantitatif dan kualitatif dengan desain cross-sectional. Hasil analisis menyatakan bahwa mayoritas responden memiliki tekanan darah, kadar kolesterol, dan kadar asam urat tinggi. Sebagian besar responden memiliki pengetahuan baik, sikap yang positif, praktik kurang baik, dan keterpaparan informasi cukup. Strategi promosi kesehatan yang direkomendasikan meliputi: 1) pengembangan kebijakan kesehatan masyarakat di Gereja HKBP Pasar Rebo, 2) peningkatan pemahaman dan kemampuan Pendeta, Sintua dan Pengurus gereja sebagai role model bagi anggota jemaat untuk berperilaku sehat, 3) peningkatan kemampuan anggota jemaat dalam merencanakan dan melakukan kegiatan yang berwawasan kesehatan masyarakat, 4) peningkatan kompetensi kesehatan masyarakat pada anggota jemaat dalam berperilaku sehat, 5) peningkatan kemampuan Pendeta, Sintua dan pengurus gereja dalam menyusun kegiatan promotif preventif dalam pelayanan klinik, dan 6) bergerak menuju pelayanan kesehatan bidang Diakonia yang lebih baik di masa depan. ABSTRACT Name : Gita Erysha Minarni Study Program : Master of Public Health Science Title : Developing Health Promotion Strategies to Control Risk Factors of Cardiovascular Disease Among the Congregations of HKBP Pasar Rebo Church Year 2017 This thesis focuses on developing health promotion strategies to control risk factors of cardiovascular disease among the congregation of HKBP Pasar Rebo Church. The risk factors studied are blood pressure, cholesterol, blood sugar and uric acid level. Other variables studied are behavior and congregation’s characteristics. Quantitative and qualitative methods are used in this study with cross-sectional design. Result shows that most of the participants have high blood pressure, high cholesterol, high blood sugar level, and high uric acid level. Many of the participants already have good knowledge, positive attitude, bad practice, and receive enough information. Health promotion strategies that can be applied are: 1) developing public health policy at HKBP Pasar Rebo Church, 2) enhancing understanding and ability of Pastors, Sintua and church administrators to be role models for church congregation to have healthy behavior, 3) building capacity of church congregation to plan and conduct community health-minded activities, 4) enhancing public health competence of church congregation to have healthy behavior, 5) enhancing the ability of Pastors, Sintua, and church administrators to prepare preventive promotive activites in health services (clinic), and 6) moving towards better health service of Diaconian ministry in the future.
