Stress kerja kerap menjangkiti banyak pihak di tempat kerja. Dari sejumlah penjelasan para ahli, stress kerja ini bisa menimbulkan dampak baik (eustress), tetapi sekaligus buruk (distress) bagi yang bersangkutan dan bagi organisasi atau perusahaan. Orang yang terkena stres kerja cenderung jadi tidak produktif, tidak tertantang untuk menunjukan kehebatannya, secara tidak sadar malah menujukan kebodohannya, bermalas malasan, tidak efektif dan tidak efisien, Secara kalkulasi manajemen tentunya ini merugikan organisasi atau perusahaan, apalagi jika pekerja yang terkena stress kerja ini jumlahnya banyak.
Job stress is often affects to many people in the workplace. Explanations from the experts, job stress can lead to better effect (eustress), but also bad (distress) for the concerned and for the organization or company. People affected by job stress tend to be non-productive, does not challenged to show his prowess, even unconsciously attribute stupidity, laze lazy, ineffective and inefficient, in calculation of course management is detrimental to the organization or company, especially if workers are exposed to stress this job.
This thesis investigates and compares various psychosocial factors and social environment factors that can influence to one or several distress symptoms to workers in the geothermal company PT. X. This research is semi-quantitative research with a descriptive design. The research found 10 out of 11 dominant indicators of psychosocial factors perceived by half or more of the respondents, with 5 dominant stress symptoms are headache and dizziness, MSDs, angry, sleep difficulties, and change in appetite. The research suggests the company review the workload and current work capacity, improve work process management, improve communication by the foreign workers, and create a supportive work environment

Teachers of Sekolah Luar Biasa (SLB) is one of the most potential job which stimulates stresses, whether caused by individual or working factors. The excessive amount of stress are possible in causing negative effects to the SLB teachers such as unconfidence, denial, anger or depression, and derivations of work performance and motivation, which also stimulates physical illness such as headache, stomachache, insomnia, and high blood pressure.
Many workers in the manufacturing industry report MSD complaints. This study aims to determine the prevalence of MSD complaints and the relationship of physical, psychosocial and individual factors to MSD complaints at PT NI in 2020. The method used was quantitative with a cross sectional study design. A validated standardized questionnaire was distributed to 120 respondents. Data analysis used is SPSS with logistic regression models to identify risk factors for MSD complaints and their consequences. The prevalence of MSD complaints in the last 12 months, reduced activity and MSD complaints in the last 7 days were 78%, 43% and 54%. Physical factors related to MSD complaints are trunk bending position with a proportion of ≤ 50% of time, repetitive work with a proportion of> 50% of time, kneeling / squatting with a proportion of> 50% of time, body vibration ≤ 50% of time, and sitting position> 50% of time . For psychosocial factors are work dissatisfaction, high over commitment, high work pace, and moderate work stress. While the individual factors are the status of contract workers, tenure, 2 shift work systems, and female employees. In conclusion, workers at PT NI have a high prevalence of MSD complaints and their consequences for various parts of the body. A planned and measurable effort is needed to eliminate the risk factors for MSD complaints.
Tesis ini membahas hubungan kualitas kehidupan kerja dan stress kerja berkaitan dengan kepuasan kerja dan pencapaian kinerja. Tesis ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui hubungan empat komponen quality of work life (pengembangan karir, kompensasi yang seimbang, keselamatan, keterlibatan karyawan, keselamatan lingkungan kerja) dan stres kerja (informasi dan kejelasan peran dan tugas, supervisi atasan dan beban kerja), dengan kinerja perawat pelaksana di ruang rawat inap Rumah Sakit Umum Pusat Dokter Kariadi.
This thesis explores the relationship quality of work life and job stress related to job satisfaction and performance achievement. This thesis aims to determine the relationship of the four components of quality of work life (career development, equitable compensation, employee participation, save environment) and work stress (information and clarity of roles and tasks, supervision and workload), with performance of nurses in the inpatient Doctors Kariadi’s General Hospital.
