Quality of complementary feeding practices is an effort to overcome stunting. Giving a poor quality complementary feeding ptactices, have a bad effect on child‟s health and growth. Minimum Acceptable Diet (MAD) is one of the indicators of complementary feeding assessment. This study was to represent the relationship between complementary feeding practices with stunting using MAD requirements. Qualitative research is conduct with case studies, data collection by in-depth interviews, and observations. Six mothers are the main respondent. The study was conducted in 4 Central Jakarta Sub-districts in February-March 2020. The results of the study are complementary feeding practices with poor quality. Maternal knowledge related to complementary feeding practices is quite, there is no belief in taboo, most of the mother buy complementary feeding. The basic references are mother and children healthcare handbook. From the results, there are no obstacles to get the food; the husband's income does not an resistance in buying complementary feeding. The conclusion of this study complementary feeding practices with poor quality.
Female adolescent student in boarding school are vulnerable in having anemia because pesantren’s life style is full of activicities and the students is far from their parents its causes irregular eating habit and lack of nutrition in their meals. This research compared the differences of haemoglobin level after weekly Fe tablet supplementation and weekly Fe tablet plus daily during menstruation Fe supplementation for 8 weeks. This study uses the Quasi Experimental Design The Non Equivalent Control Group. A total of 38 respondents participaten in this study 18 of them received a weekly Fe tablet Supplementation, 20 other respondents got a Fe tablet weekly plus daily during their menstruation cycle. There was a significant increase of haemoglobin level in both groups after the intervention for 8 weeks (group 1 p = 0.0005, group 2 p = 0.0005). This increase did not significant between the first and second group (p = 0.797). This study prove that 8 weeks of supplementation of Fe tablets with the high level of obedience in consuming the supplement is adequate in increasing the level of hemoglobin. The factors that can affects the increased number of hemoglobin are consumption of animal protein, consumption of inhibitors, consumption of enhancers, long menstruation cycle, knowledge, and the type of Fe tabet supplementation program.
The world's population is currently in the era of the aging population, namely the population aged more than 60 years exceeding 10% of the total population. The elderly are one of the groups that are prone to suffer from malnutrition. In order not to become a burden for the community, it is necessary to take care of health for the elderly. The population morbidity rate in West Sumatra is the highest in the elderly group, namely 25.64%. This study aims to analyze the factors associated with the nutritional status of the elderly. This study is a cross-sectional study using secondary data from FKM Andalas University in 2021. Bivariate analysis using chi-square test, multivariate analysis using logistic regression test. The sample of this study was 140 respondents in Pariaman City and Padang City. The results of this study indicate that the nutritional status of the elderly in the cities of Padang and Pariaman is more nutritional status with the prevalence of elderly nutritional status at 37.1%. Based on multivariate results, it is known that disease history is the most dominant factor influencing the incidence of elderly nutrition in Pariaman City and Padang City after being controlled by the variables of exercise habits, marital status, employment status and smoking behavior (p = 0.003, OR 4.172 95% CI = 1,602-10,863). Family awareness is needed to pay more attention to consumption, activities and healthy living behavior of the elderly in order to prevent more nutritional status in the elderly

This study discusses the obesity and factors causing obesity in 6th grade elementary schoolstudents in North Jakarta. The purposes of this study were to determine the prevalence ofobesity and prove the priority to sleep as the dominant factor of obesity in the studypopulation. This study used cross sectional study design. The data collection processincludes anthropometric measurements using validated weight scales and microtoise, 24-hour food recall interview, filling out questionnaires to find out related information, diet,and sleep duration. The results showed that there were 52.3% students having obesity(IMT/U Z-score> 1.00 standard deviation). The factors associated with obesity is sleepduration. Researcher recommends to educate students about Gerakan Masyarakat Sehat(GERMAS) to students.

Stunting merupakan gangguan pertumbuhan linier yang disebabkan oleh kekurangan asupan zat gizi dan / atau penyakit infeksi kronis berulang yang ditunjukkan dengan nilai z-score tinggi badan menurut usia (TB/U) < -2 SD. Prevalensi stunting di provinsi Riau 25,1% sedangkan Kota Pekanbaru sebesar 23.9% berdasarkan hasil PSG 2017, hal ini sudah termasuk dalam kategori masalah kesehatan masyarakat. Tujuan Penelitian adalah untuk mengetahui faktor-faktor yang berhubungan dengan kejadian stunting pada anak usia 6 - 23 bulan di Kota Pekanbaru tahun 2018. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode observasional analitik, desain penelitian cross sectional dengan pendekatan kuantitatif, pengambilan sampel menggunakan teknik multi stage random sampling (CI 95 %) dan (1-β 80%), didapatkan sampel sebanyak 269 anak. Data dikumpulkan melalui wawancara, food recall 2x24 jam. Pengolahan dan analisis data menggunakan uji chi square (bivariat) dan regresi logistik ganda (multivariat). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan prevalensi stunting 26,8%. Hasil bivariat menunjukkan ada hubungan yang signifikan antara berat lahir, riwayat pemberian ASI Eksklusif, asupan protein dan zink, serta panjang lahir dengan kejadian stunting (CI 95%). Analisis multivariat menunjukkan berat lahir merupakan faktor dominan yang berhubungan dengan kejadian stunting dengan nilai OR 2,712 (95% CI : 1,373 -5,359). Kesimpulan penelitian ini adalah berat lahir merupakan faktor dominan berhubungan dengan kejadian stunting. Kata Kunci : stunting, berat badan lahir, anak usia 6 – 23 bulan
Stunting is a linear growth disorder caused by a deficiency in nutrient intake and / or chronic recurrent infectious diseases as indicated by the z-score score of height by age (TB / U) <-2 SD. The prevalence of stunting in Riau is 25.1% while Pekanbaru is 23.9% based on PSG 2017 results, it is included in the category of public health problem. The purpose of research is to know factors related to stunting in toddlers aged 6 - 23 months in Pekanbaru 2018. This research use analytic observational method, cross sectional research design with quantitative approach, using multi stage random sampling technique (95% CI) and (1-β 80%), obtained a sample of 269 toddlers. Data collected through interviews, food recall 2x24 hours. Processing and data analysis using chi square test (bivariate) and multiple logistic regression (multivariate). The results showed the prevalence of stunting 26.8%. Bivariate results showed significant relationship between birth weight, exclusive breastfeeding, protein and zinc intake, and birth length with stunting (95% CI). Multivariate analysis showed that birth weight was the dominant factor associated with stunting with OR of 2,712 (95% CI: 1,373 -5,359). The conclusion of this study is birth weight is the dominant factor associated with stunting. Keyword: stunting, birth weight, toddlers 6-23 months
