The training program prepared by the company for workers is one of the occupational safety and health (OSH) programs most widely used by companies for intervention. Training is useful for increasing the knowledge, skills and behavior of workers in dealing with hazards that exist in the workplace. This research uses descriptive analysis method that focuses on evaluating the effectiveness of the HSE Mandatory training that has been carried out. Measurements were made using a four-step evaluation model from Kirkpatrick (1970) through the assessment of reactions, learning, behavior, and results. The results of the study indicate that the learning program that has been implemented is effective. However, there are still some things that can be improved so that the quality of learning is better and able to contribute as a leading indicator of (OSH) performance.
Coal mining industry is an industry with high risks of occupational healthand safety. Hence, it is considered important to conduct a risk assessment andevaluation on occupational health and safety in a coal mining industry. Theexpected result of the assessment and evaluation is an improvement of significantefforts in decreasing occupational accident and illness rate, and also fatality rate incoal mining activities.Focus of this study was OHS risk assessment and evaluation on miningactivity in PT. Adaro Indonesia Site Tanjung Tabalong South Kalimantan in 2013.This study was analytical descriptive using observational approach. This studyused Job Hazard Analysis for hazard and risk identification, and semi-quantitativerisk assessment method by multiplication of consequences, probability, andexposure score. The result of this study showed that mining activity in PT. AdaroIndonesia Site Tanjung Tabalong has 182 OHS risks.Key words: risk, coal, mining activities.
This study aims to analyze the risk factors of occupational stress among healthcare workers in remote sites. The researchers conducted a cross-sectional study in January-June 2023 involving 103 respondents from various industries. The COPSOQ III research instrument was used to measure occupational stress and its risk factors. Out of the 103 respondents in the Oil & Gas, mining, and construction industries, it was observed that age, shift duration, and length of service were not significantly related to occupational stress. However, the type of industry and gender were significantly related to certain types of stress. Contract workers were more likely to experience occupational stress, burnout, and cognitive stress. Psychosocial risk factors such as job demands, role conflicts, work pace, and emotional demands were also associated with occupational stress. Job demands, work pace, and role conflicts influenced occupational stress scores, explaining 26.5% of the stress score variation. Healthcare workers in remote sites at PT. X experienced significant occupational stress, influenced by factors such as workload, work pace, and role conflicts. Based on these findings, it is suggested that adjustments be made to workload, shift flexibility, social support, as well as role clarity and rewards to reduce occupational stress. Further research is needed to understand and address occupational stress among healthcare workers, especially in remote sites.
Salah satu isu kesehatan di tempat kerja adalah kebiasaan merokok. PT NRS sudah satu tahun menjalankan program Tempat Kerja Tanpa Asap Rokok (TKTAR) yang disusun IDKI dengan dukungan WHO. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah mengevaluasi tingkat keberhasilan program TKTAR serta faktor yang dapat menghambatnya. Penelitian ini adalah studi evaluasi dengan pendekatan semi kuantitatif menggunakan metode analisis konten. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan pengetahuan dan sikap karyawan yang baik, tim pengembang sebagai faktor penguat, sosialisasi TKTAR yang masih kurang, tidak adanya sangsi dan aturan yang baku terkait pencatatan dan pelaporan. Saran, meningkatkan motivasi tim pengembang untuk mengolah data awal dan menganalisis untuk mendapatkan masalah yang ada, meningkatkan sosialiasi TKTAR agar sampai keseluruh karyawan, teguran pelanggaran kepada karyawan perokok dan atasannya, sosialisasi tentang lokasi merokok, dilakukan razia atribut rokok, membuat buku panduan SOP TKTAR, membuat anggaran khusus, membuat pencatatan dan pelaporan, melakukan monitoring, evaluasi dan dibuatkan sangsi terhadap pelanggaran.
