To produce good quality management mechanism, organizations need toimplement an effective measurement method to be able to analyze and findquality dimensions that need to be repaired or upgraded to achieve a high quality.One measurement model that has been widely recognized and proven effective tohelp the successful implementation of a quality management system with theapproach of Malcolm Baldrige Criteria as a method of measuring the quality ofPatient Safety Section at the Tiara Hospital. The purpose of this study was toassess the quality of patient safety as an attempt Continuous QualityImprovement. This type of research is descriptive analytic study with a qualitativeapproach by looking of the current state of patient safety at Tiara Hospital.Position performance score is based on the Malcolm Baldrige Assessment resultsobtained 259 (self assessment) or 241 (investigator assessment), then enter therange / range 0-275, which is in early development predicate levels, indicating theearly stages of development approaches implementation requirements category,deployment is still weak and begin the process of progress, improvement effortsfocused on solving problems and still a few important results were reported, butthe general trend is still poor and comparable data. Tiara Hospital can developparts that become opportunity for improvement especially the leadership, dataanalysis and knowledge management that integrates all the criteria of the existingunits. Background: The number of hospitals has shown consistent growth each year. Both public and private hospitals face the challenge of competing by continuously improving their performance. Performance improvement is essential for hospitals to survive and stay competitive. Inpatient services are the largest financial burden for the national health insurance program while also serving as the primary revenue contributor for hospitals. Research Objective: This study aims to analyze the performance of inpatient services using the Baldrige Excellence Framework at Universitas Indonesia Hospital in 2024. Research Methodology: This study employs a cross-sectional design with a quantitative approach to gather performance evaluation perceptions from the employees’ perspective. The sample was selected using convenience sampling, resulting in 58 respondents. Research result: this research show that leadership performance received a score 92,1 out of a maximum score of 120, strategic planning scored 64.1 out of 85, customer focus scored 65.9 out of 85, measurement, analysis, and knowledge management scored 70.3 out of 90, workforce focus scored 60.1 out of 85, operations scored 63.6 out of 85, and results scored 328.7 out of a maximum of 450.
The increasing number of BPJS patients affects the length of service time in the outpatient installation of BPJS at Hermina Bekasi Hospital. Issues affecting the length of outpatient service can be identified by knowing all business processes in the service process using the Lean Six Sigma method. This research is a qualitative research with descriptive design with stages of DMAIC Define, Measure, Analize, Improve, and Control. The results of this study suggest that during the service process, the average length of service process is 200 minutes with a percentage of valuable activities value added of 17 and NVA activity of 83. The largest waste is waiting in the transfer of each stage in the service. Causes of long waiting time include lack of availability of human resources, hospital information systems that have not been integrated, and facilities and infrastructure that have not been adequate. The research also proposed improvements in the form of integrated information system application for registration process, improvement of work environment using 5 S method, proposed SPO making for doctors, room layout changes in pharmacy depot, and installing schedule of drug taking hours. Bed Occupancy Ratio (BOR) of Hermina Hospital Bekasi has increased, as well as the number of patients who admitted to the hospital through emergency room. This increase leads to the buildup of boarding patients at emergency departments that can not be transferred to the inpatient room. This study analyzes the boarding and transfer of patients from ED to inpatient room through lean six-sigma approach with time motion study from 30 patients. The lean approach shows the percentage of value added and non value added activities while six sigma provides an overview of the activity variations in the process. The results showed that the patient took 2 hours 31 minutes 48 seconds in the process of boarding and transfer with the percentage of value added activities 20.77% and non value added activities 79.23%. Based on 5whys analysis, the root cause of the problem is the unplanned discharge patient.

Meassurement of hospital performance can provide a strong foundation for solving existing problems and is needed to improve the quality of care service. This thesis assesses the quality performance of hospital organization using Malcolm Baldrige For Performance Excellence based on seven criteria: Leadership, Strategy Planning, Costumers Focus, Meassurement, Analysis and Management Knowledge, Work Focus, Operation Focus and Result. This research is based on a qualitative research by collecting information about organizational performance through in-depth intervies and secondary data. Based on the results of the study, in each criteria also elaborated opportunities for improvement that can be done by the hospital to improve the quality performance of the organization. This research is a descriptive analytic research with qualitative approach which represent the condition of The Radiology Installation Of The R. Said Sukanto Kramat Jati Central Police Hospital based on Malcolm Baldrige Criteria. The result of the analysis showed that the score of 247,9 is in Early Development. With the result, in applying the Approach not yet systematic because there are still no special methods that are used effectively in accordance with the key fac-tor. Deployment of the Approach that has been used in the organization is only limited to certain areas but cannot be thoroughly explored.
